About this property

The View: A modern beach retreat for 8 guests on Anglesey

  • Summary:

A three-storey beach house two minutes’ walk from Crigyll Beach, with the kitchen, dining and living space on the top floor to make the most of the sea views. Sleeps 8, pet-friendly.

    The Space:

    Check In: 4pm | Check Out: 10am

    The View Overview:

Accommodation: Sleeps eight across four bedrooms

Bedrooms: One king-size bedroom, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and one single bedroom with bunk beds

    Bathroom: Three bathrooms

    Pets: Welcomes three well-behaved pets

Access/Parking: Parking for two cars, plus a double garage

Infant info: One travel cot and one highchair provided (travel cot linen not included)

Location: Just a two-minute walk to Crigyll Beach.

Arrival Essentials: As this is a self-catering property, we include an Arrival Essentials pack to help you settle in on your first day, just enough to get you started. You'll need to bring, or purchase additional supplies for the rest of your stay.

The View is a modern, pet-friendly beach house set over three floors, two minutes’ walk from Crigyll Beach. It’s laid out upside down, with the bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen, dining and living space on the top floor, where the views are best.

Head up to the top floor and you’ll find the open-plan kitchen, living and dining space, with views from both the front and the back of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped for family meals, beach picnics and BBQ prep, with a breakfast bar so the cook never has to miss out. The dining table seats eight, and there are two sofas, armchairs, floor cushions and a flat-screen TV for everyone else. Step out onto the balcony with a glass of wine for sunset views across the bay.

The first floor has four bedrooms: a king-size with its own en-suite (walk-in shower, sink and toilet), a double, a twin, and a single room with bunk beds. There’s also a family bathroom with a bath, sink and toilet.

On the ground floor, the large garage doubles as a games room, with a table tennis set-up and a couple of barstools for spectators. There’s also a shower room and a laundry room, so you can rinse off the beach and wash sandy towels before heading upstairs.

At the back there’s an enclosed, decked garden and a small patio, a safe spot for children to play, pets to nap and summer BBQs. Parking for two cars is at the front.

With the living space on the top floor, there are stairs between the front door and the kitchen. It’s worth keeping in mind if anyone in your group finds stairs difficult, or when you’re carrying the shopping in.

Crigyll Beach is one of North Wales’ finest stretches of golden sand, and Rhosneigr village is a short stroll away for shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs.

    The Neighborhood:

Rhosneigr (said: ROSS-nigh-ger) is one of the most dog-friendly villages on Anglesey. It's a foodie haven, a watersports mecca, and somehow packs bars, restaurants, independent shops and golden beaches into one small stretch of coastline curving round the village. Whether you're a couple, a family three generations deep, or bringing a dog who's never seen so much sand, it works.

It's on the pricier side, but one visit shows why. Two stunning beaches wrap the village, Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan, the surf's some of the best on the Island, and the food punches well above its weight. Mornings belong to the water, with Funsport or Gecko Surf on the seafront covering surfing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding for all ages. Evenings bring cocktails, fresh food at the Blue Olive, or the Sandy Mount House or fish and chips from Scarletts on the high street, eaten on the beach or back at the house.

    Getting Around:

Rhosneigr is best explored by car, with free parking available at the property and throughout the village. The nearest train station, just 5 minutes away at Ty Croes, connects you to Holyhead and Bangor

    Other Things to Note:

An AHL Damage Waiver is included as standard with every booking. It’s there to protect the property and give you complete peace of mind, covering accidental damage up to £250, so that if something happens, it doesn’t cast a shadow over your stay.

Towels & Bedding: Linens and bath towels provided (please bring your own beach towels)

    Did you know:

We offer booking extras to make your stay even better. Our Extended Stay Refresh* brings fresh linens, new towels, made beds and a quick bathroom reset. *Available on selected properties within our portfolio.

    Don’t forget:

Booking with AHL gets you fabulous, unique discounts at eateries, attractions, and shops such as Rib Ride, Zip World, and Sandy Mount House to name a few.

Great house in a fabulous location

We all had an amazing time at the view. The house is spacious, clean and the views are fabulous. The kitchen was very well equipped and an air fryer would be a great addition. The beds were comfy and the TVs in the main bedrooms were a lovely touch. We would definitely stay there again!

What a View

The View really lived up to its name. The day we arrived there was even snow on Yr Wyddfa. It is a very comfortable well equipped house and lovely and warm. The house is in a good position for getting to the beach easily and a nice easy walk to the village centre.

Lovely apartment in great location

Really enjoyed our stay, apartment had everything you could need and was the perfect location, very modern and spacious with great views. Our only negative was the noise of the boiler through the night in the back double room and as the boiler is directly underneath this room it created a very warm heated floor! Although we could control the heating (which was very toasty) we had no control over the floor. Very enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend

Great location

The location of the view is excellent, close to all amenitie. The house has plenty of space however very tired, in need of an upgrade. It’s supposed to house 8 people however cannot sit 8 people comfortably in the living room. Sofas are very uncomfortable and damaged. Showers are good but very worn. Garden good for dogs. Excellent storage in the basement. Not enough storage in the bedrooms.

You need to be fit, but the view is great!

This is an upside down house with the open plan living room up 3 flights of stairs, so taking shopping up can be a bit tiring. The main bedroom (with en-suite) is very tight on space around the bed. The garden furniture on the balcony and in the rear garden is very tired. Saying all of that, we had a lovely time. You can watch the sun rise over Snowdonia, see a little bit of the sea, watch the jets taking off and landing at RAF Valley, and best of all, be in the fabulous, dog friendly beach of Rhosneigr in minutes.

Autumn break with family

A four day break for our multi generational family of eight adults. The house was lovely and very clean. Very well equipped with good quality crockery etc. We dined in three nights including Sunday dinner and couldn’t want for anything except perhaps a teapot. The house needs to have two front door keys as front door can’t be opened from the inside and needs locking when exiting. It was a problem at night when the older generation wanted to have an early night but young people wanted to go to the pub. It meant locking them in the house and once in they couldn’t leave. Alternative would be to leave the front door unlocked. We weren’t happy doing that. A thumb nail lock would be a good idea. We had some lovely walks and Rhosneigr is a great place for beach walks and relaxing.

Stunning location in fantastic property

Loved our week away in this property. Loved the layout: open plan too floor with mountain views from back windows and ocean views from the front. The plane spotters amongst us loved the proximity to the end of the runway and the beach lovers the proximity to the sea. House was well equipped and clean. Would love to return

What wonderful views!

A lovely comfy modern upside down house close to a wonderful beach and the shops and restaurants of Rhosneigr. Well equipped lots of space and bathrooms - magnificent living room , kitchen, dining area. We really enjoyed the views from the balcony of the sea and the kite surfing; and the views of the mountains from the dining room table. Possibly not a good choice if you find it difficult getting up and down stairs but we thought it was well worth the effort

Disappointed

On arrival dead flies on window sill on top floor. En suite shower would not drain. Vertical blinds on top floor had panels missing. Outdoor furniture in backyard covered in green mould, so unusable. Toilet brushes had excrement on them. Dishwasher tablets/capsule dispenser not working. No key to lock internal garage door, which was important as external garage doors not very secure.

A Great House for a holiday

We loved everything about the house particularly the upstairs living area with the balcony . The family enjoyed the use of the table tennis table . The one problem with a ten month old is the noise transmission between the floors because of the open plan design . We had a lovely holiday

Modern Luxury- A stone’s throw from the beach

A super, versatile house, well equipped and comfortable. It is an ideal base to explore Angelsey. The beach in Rhosneiger is beautiful- we saw some amazing sunsets! You are very close to Valley- we had our own private air show- even seeing a red arrow and fighter jets doing manoeuvres. The town itself has an excellent fish and chip shop and good restaurants. It was perfect for our stay.

A wonderful holiday home

Simply breathtaking that’s how I would describe when you walk to the top floor and take in the beautiful open plan living kitchen dining room with spectacular views front and back, and if you love watching air shows it’s like you’ve got your own show every day, beach and shops all close by, loved watching the jets, sitting on the balcony in the evening, lovely home and brilliant lay out, loved all the butterflies landing in the back garden and lovely pear trees and palm tree, cannot fault the home.

Great house, great holiday

We were 2 families holidaying together. The house has great facilities to cater for families or group. The layout makes it very sociable and also light and airy with great views. We really liked the location, as it meant we had easy access to the village amenities as well as the beaches, which are just stunning. We were helped by an amazing Week of sunshine, but even if it hadn’t been beach weather all week, there were walks and bike rides from the doorstep! We had a great time!

Attractive accommodation.

The View is in a good position near the beach and close to the centre of the town. Very well equipped and the games room on the ground floor is a great addition.
