From a location basis, this is an outstanding property. Right in the heart of 'main street' Reykjavik. The room was about right in size and with amenities for the two nights we stayed prior to joining a cruise. Check-in is done on a screen, though I don't think it was necessary as the codes to enter the building and room were emailed in advance. There is no onsite staff which some might find a bit disconcerting, but this type of process was infinitely better then trying to find a lock box as many properties have. Other reviews though are accurate in that the bar/club below does create a lot of noise. Light sleepers might not like that. Noted they supplied free ear plugs. Otherwise, a good value and very central location.
Arrived early in the morning after all night flight from Canada. Very frustrated to learn this was a no contact check in hotel. No where in the description of the hotel did it say it would not have a reception desk. I didn’t get text about codes etc- got inside and called the hotel- no early check in available so we left our suitcases in locked room downstairs Hotel room was clean and nice - black out curtains help a lot - warm night and no AC in room - Icelanders having fun partying nearby to 4am!Hotel is just fine - only problem for us was the no contact check inShower was hot with lots of pressure We would stay here again
