Ye Olde Mustard Pot

3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (31)
"We booked our stay back in September. On 13th October we travelled 200 miles from Scotland, arriving at 8pm, to find it closed. It transpired that the hotel had gone out of business on 5th October. No one had thought to inform us, and cancel our booking! I spent an hour on the phone speaking to various people in America, employed by Hotels.com, assuming they would be able to help, perhaps by arranging alternative accommodation. Instead they each wasted time by going through the same pointless...

Rolands Croft Guest House

3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (30)
"The price I paid for booking on Hotels.com was contested by the guest house owner as being in error. After several phone calls, it was determined that this was no fault of my own, but rather a programming glitch. Yet I was made to feel responsible for this: The room I was given was not what I had booked. There was also no safe in the room as indicated on the booking. 2.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (16)
"Excellent location, tidy and clean. Parking takes a bit of working out and more advice beforehand would have helped. Comfy bed and great facilities in the studio. The heater was a bit awkward having only 2 settings, off and volcano. There was no way to adjust because the controls were locked. All in all an excellent choice once you've worked out the virtual front desk. If you are booking with Expedia check all the emails for your entrance code. They sent me 7 different emails and I missed the...
