We and our team handle the maintenance and management with as little interruption to guests as possible. Routine outdoor maintenance for the 40 acre property is typically scheduled after 10am for lawn, pond, hot tub, firewood, etc. Hot tub maintenance is communicated with guests in advance. . We are in a rural location with plenty of space between neighbors. Even with space, sound can travel. We ask that you be considerate especially after 10pm. While the properties are set back from the road by over 300ft, you can still hear some light traffic noise from the front porch occasionally. All of the furnishings and amenities were top-notch, but I think what really set this place apart was the pre-planning and care given to our stay by the House Manager and the owners, I felt like it was a boutique planning company more than just a short term rental. The pond, hot tub, basketball court, soccer field and trails gave our teens and "middles" plenty to do. I thought they had more fun swimming and playing than a day at a fun park: it was that much fun. The accommodations were excellent--I mean excellent and thoughtful--but without being over-the-top opulent. We felt comfortable. The owners of the property were very attentive and responsive. My husband's family were the original owners of this property and built the main house, tennis court and smaller lake. We were amazed at how beautiful the renovation of the main house and barn turned out! Every convenience you could ask for. The weather did not cooperate, but it didn't matter because the house and barn are configured perfectly for large gatherings! This included over 35 family members from 6 states. The Retreat, The Barn and the grounds were impeccably maintained, extremely well appointed, and very comfortable. We enjoyed meals together in the Retreat, swam in the pond, used all of the games provided (pool, ping pong, shuffle board, fuse ball, rock wall, etc.). There was plenty for everyone of every age to do and plenty of quiet space too. I highly recommend this venue not only because the facilities were fantastic but because Lisa and Rich were informative, welcoming, and extremely responsive. Thank you for being the perfect place to make new memories and facilitate my parents meeting 4 great grand kids for the first time and celebrating their 70th anniversary with (almost) the whole family! ##### Julie Z.
