A wooded corner lot in North Durham. Two bedrooms, a full den with a sit/stand desk and monitor, and a screened porch that earns its own line in almost every review. Well-stocked kitchen, in-unit laundry, parking for three cars. Dogs and cats welcome. Ten minutes from Duke Regional Hospital, five minutes from West Point on the Eno. The kind of place where a few nights quietly becomes a few weeks.
We want you to have a delightful and seamless stay. While we respect your privacy and will not be on the property during your visit, we are readily available to assist you. Please feel free to reach out via the messaging app or by phone if you have any questions or need recommendations.
The Duke Homestead neighborhood sits in North Durham, where the streets are tree-lined and the yards run deep. This corner of Durham is quiet in the way that established residential neighborhoods are quiet -- not remote, just settled. You are ten minutes from downtown, five minutes from the Eno River, and closer to the woods than most people expect when they book a city stay.
Coffee: Little Waves Coffee roasted locally, stocked in the kitchen. Silver Spoon on N. Roxboro St (1.4 miles) -- a North Durham institution for breakfast and lunch. LRB Provisions on Guess Rd (1.9 miles) -- scratch-made sandwiches and house-smoked pastrami from a former Magnolia Grill chef, open since late 2025.
Restaurants: Multiple dining options along Guess Rd, N. Roxboro Rd, and Duke St within 2 miles. Harris Teeter and Costco at North Pointe Shopping Center (1.5 miles).
Parks: Whippoorwill Park (0.6 miles). West Point on the Eno -- 404 acres of Eno River trails, historic mill, and picnic access (2.1 miles).
You will have full, private access to the entire home. Full arrival instructions, including access details and a property map, are sent 48 hours prior to arrival. Your digital guidebook has useful trip-planning information.
The Homestead Bungalow sits on a wooded corner lot on Duke Homestead Road -- a classic North Durham ranch, updated inside, with the kind of screened porch that guests mention by name when they come back.
Living room
Newly furnished with a comfortable sofa, room-darkening shades, and a TV. Good natural light from the corner lot orientation. Opens directly to the dining area.
Kitchen
Full kitchen with a standard range, dishwasher, and a fully stocked pantry. Dining table seats eight. Fillaree dish soap at the sink and enough counter space to actually cook. Coffee is stocked.
Primary bedroom
Queen bed with quality linens, room-darkening shades, and closet storage.
Second bedroom
Queen bed, same standard. Both primary rooms are true sleeping rooms.
The den
The third room has been set up as a dedicated workspace den -- sit/stand desk with a monitor, a sleeper sofa for a fifth guest, and a TV. Works as a kids' room, a home office, or both. Families with younger kids often use this room as their own space: the TV in the den means the adults keep the living room.
Screened porch
The reason guests come back. Furnished, oriented to the wooded backyard, with the charcoal grill just outside. Fireflies in summer. Coffee in the morning with no one around.
Laundry
Full washer and dryer in-unit. Detergent stocked.
Parking
Off-street parking for three cars on private property. No street parking needed.
You walk in and exhale. The local coffee is in the kitchen. The bed is made right. There is a handwritten note that says we saw why you are here. That is how Delighted Properties works. A few things worth knowing -- we share these not as a warning but because guests who know what to expect tend to have the best stays.

The fireplace is decorative. Please do not attempt to light it.
