Lovely comfortable cottage in a very quiet location. It suited us perfectly- you can walk straight out the door or get to the Downs and coast very easily. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a lovely part of the country.
The cottage was very spacious for two and was generally in very good condition and comfortable. It was described in the details as "recently converted" which might mislead some people as there were some indications that it had been done a while. Our host was very helpful but not intrusive. The property was very convenient for many attractions in the area but is also in some beautiful countryside ideal for walking and exploring. We would certainly use it again if we were to revisit the area in the future.
A lovely stay at the Cottage, perfect for our family Christmas. We had a fabulous Christmas tree to greet us on arrival and a kitchen equipped to cope with Christmas dinner. Couldn’t have asked for better, thank you Clare, fantastic hosts and a delightful place to stay!
Lovely place to relax. Quiet and with the lovely scenery of south England. Claire was lovely to deal with and very helpful. The cottage was big, spotless and had the warmth of home. Would definitely stay again !!!
The location of this house is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful with wonderful open views where you can watch the deer and pheasants come and go! Lovely helpful owners on site but not intrusive. Weather was unseasonably warm so we only had a fire on two evenings in the spacious lounge. Bedrooms are a good size with open views, the king size bed is a very good quality and was really comfortable. Enjoyed visiting Arundel and doing local walks from the property.

A spacious cottage in a tranquil setting
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage at Hale Hill Farm. It is very spacious and was clean and well equipped. The owners, Clare & Nick, who live in the neighbouring farm were very welcoming without impinging on our privacy and ensured that we had everything that we needed.
The cottage is situated in a peaceful spot overlooking water meadows. There are footpaths leading directly from the cottage onto the ridge of the South Downs, from which there is a large selection of possible walks. There is a wide variety of other attractions within a short drive.

Beautiful location
Clare the owner was very welcoming and our stay was very comfortable. The views are stunning and it is extremely peaceful. Centrally located for Arundel and Pulborough. The track down to the cottage is very rough so be careful when driving. The property has a wood burning stove if you need heat. Our only comment would be to leave more bath towels as one each for a potential two week stay was a little light. There is a washing machine but no dryer and the towel rails switch off automatically so sometimes it is difficult to dry them. Other than that it is the perfect relaxing getaway.

Very comfortable stay
The cottage was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen in particular was great - large and well equipped. Often kitchen equipment is an afterthought but we had everything we needed to do Christmas lunch. We loved being able to walk from the door. We only saw Clare briefly on arrival but she made us feel welcome and was communicative and helpful in the days before we arrived. The only thing that wasn't perfect was the communication with Henry Adams during the booking process - for example we asked to confirm the size of the cot being provided as we had to bring our own bedding for it, but we were told the wrong size so our bedding didn't fit. Nevertheless, we would recommend a stay at the cottage to friends and family.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Very rural location beautiful surroundings
We did not feel we should have had to strip beds bundle up towels etc and then separate them Into Black sacks surely this is the job of the cleaners not the guests we understand about Covid 19 problems but the cleaning persons or cleaning Co should carry out the cleaning in PPE attire as the rules suggest . When we opened the oven we found a thick layer of white fat which had been left we guss from the previous let we fill these are minor points but ones that need consideration

Excellent facility with only some minor drawbacks
This holiday home is excellently situated on the edge of een beautiful landscape. The track leading to it (some 3 - 400 metres) is in very bad condition and the holes should be filled.
The cottage itself is very roomy and comfortable. There are only some minor things that could be bettered such as the tap over the kitchen sink (it takes hours to get hot water, why not fit a small kitchen boiler) or the fact that the mirrors in the bathrooms do no have a direct light over them (so shaving properly is not easy).
Otherwise it is all very good and highly recommandable.

Perfect hideaway
The cottage is the perfect place if you look for a remote place in the english countryside. You may even see deer from the bed rooms which have a unique view into the natural scenery. The living room and kitchen are very spacious and comfortable. Sightseeing spots like Petworth House or Arundel Castle are just a few minutes drive away. Last but not least - the landlady Clare is very friendly and helpful. It was a perfect stay for us!
