Wonderful!

Wonderful 10 day stay at Casa Menta! Alex and Gemma are incredible- they go above and beyond to help. Beautiful place, sparkling clean. 2 minute walk to fabulous beach - can walk for miles but not great for swimming due to waves. Enjoyed watching sunset from rooftop terrace.

A gem

Excellent location, plus so quiet ( that’s until 8 am so no problem, construction next door) no dogs at night Or partying next door. Owner was lovely. Good kitchen facilities.

Awesome Owners, Clean, New, and Comfortable

This was an amazing stay with awesome hosts. The owners of the hotel make you feel right at home and keep you feeling that way. We are not fans of large hotels and we found this little gem. Ignore the small amount of reviews as it is only a year old, meaning everything is new and in perfect condition. The rooms are not super large but more than enough for us to be comfortable and the bathrooms are very clean and up to date. The majority of the rooms are on the second floor with the owners living on the third floor, the bottom floor in a common kitchen, TV room, outside and inside sitting. You will have access to a small dip pool and outside shower after beach time, the beach is just a quick 30 second walk and you might find it just to be you out there while watching the sunset. I can't say enough positive things about our stay of 8 nights, 9 days....they really did make us feel like it was out place to. Other perks to note, access to onsite washer and cloths lines, small items to buy, the kitchen is very nice with updated equipment, one main fridge, and a market that is about a 10 min or less walk. It is in a quite part of town but you need to be careful at night on the beach, but that is typical of Escondido.

A great place to relax...

Casa Menta is a perfect home away from home! Alex and Gemma are amazing hosts! They made sure I had everything I needed. They had tons of information about the area and made my stay extremely comfortable. The pool and community area was as nice as could be. Everything is brand new and clean. The area is super quit but close enough to most spots that walking everywhere wasn't a problem. The roof has a beautiful view of the sunset as well! And the sunsets are always special in Escondido. I highly recommend staying here is you want a relaxing stay.
