"Breakfast is excellent, hard to beat. We got a top floor room with a nice view. Room was clean and I had no problems with noise. The hotel is conveniently located to the promenade and the beach. "We stayed one night at the Hotel Pommernland having flown in to the nearby Anklam airfield. As it was the Ascention weekend there were no taxis available so the hotel manager Eric kindly gave us a lift into town to a greek restaurant. Hotel was clean and tidy and the rooms were absolutely fine. My only criticism is that there was only 1 feather pillow supplied which was way too soft, my head sunk straight through it. Breakfast was OK."

"The check in experience was poor - they don’t bother to offer proper instructions for the front desk that is located away from the actual hotel. Moreover - they don’t bother to pickup calls at the front desk. Poor experience and poor communication. The hotel itself is nice and clean. Good location. Just their concept of supporting customers is way off - set your expectations low."

"I was travelling with friends who had another room but had the same experience. There was a problem with the aircon and our room temperature was 26c. I reported this to reception and the chap went to another room to remotely set the temperature for me. In the mean time he suggested opening our window until the temperature became acceptable. If there was a problem with the aircon then why weren’t we notified on checking in? And why didn’t they set the temperature beforehand to 21c instead of leaving it at 26c? My friends had a similar experience and we overheard someone else at reception having the same problem. Also, there was no water in the room. "
