"Very nice B&B, in good location. Just a couple of points to mention which was why I have only 4/5. - Room and en-suite smaller than expected, but still nice and comfortable - Breakfast was lovely, but would prefer being able to self serve juice and tea/coffee. The Burlington Hotel

8/10 Good

"The Burlington is a nice, friendly, old-fashioned hotel. It's right on the seafront close to the pier and the town centre, and it has it's own car park at the back. We only stayed one night but we're able to park our car there before check in and keep it there till 3pm on check out day, which was helpful. The food was fine (apart from the absence of mushrooms on the breakfast menu) - good portions at dinner and help yourself at breakfast. Our room had been modernised and was very nice - it was like a Premier Inn room but with a softer mattress. We were on the third floor and it's a good thing we didn't mind the stairs because they only had one small lift working, which for a place of this size was inadequate really. The hotel needs some refurbishment in places; this has clearly been happening gradually but it's a big task. The public rooms are spacious and there are two bars plus a dancefloor, which was used when we were there. They had a singer who was pretty good and appreciated by the guests, some of whom were on a coach trip. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay despite being kept awake by night roadworks outside - not their fault and just bad luck for guests that night. I'd be happy to stay there again but would avoid high summer as there was no air conditioning."

"What an amazing property! This lovely apartment is all about the location. Right on the sea front with unobstructed views out to sea and all the way down the coast to Rye. It's in a very quiet area of the Sovereign Harbour development, which itself is reason enough to go. Sovereign Harbour has the feel of Mediterranean port with loads of sea front cafes and restaurants as well as out of town shops like Asda. It's only about a 10 minute walk from the property, or a few minutes by car.As for the property, it's perfect if you are struggling with health issues (like us pair of old crocks). It's very accessible by lift with a ramp from the private parking bay if stairs are a struggle. Short sea front walks just immediately outside the apartment block. The only down side is that the beach has very high and steep shingle, so getting up and down to the water's edge might be difficult for some. But, you could easily spend a week just enjoying the views from the little balcony.The flat was well cared for, well equipped, and had comfortable beds. Getting help if you need it (which we did once), is very easy - the caretaker lives very close by."

"We just spent two weeks at the Studio and had the most relaxing stay! The house was perfect for friends and family to drop in and a very calm space when we were on our own. The house had everything we needed and the beds were so comfortable! We all slept very well. Being just a short walk to the beach was heavenly! We had very good communication with the hosts before our stay and all of the instructions were very clear. Couldn't recommend the Studio more highly!"

We were lucky with the weather, so the garden was a lovely place to sit and relax after a day out. Being within easy walking distance of both the beach and the shops made it an ideal base.
