"We had a lovely stay at Euterpe. Their motto, “for the luxury traveler,” really does ring true. Our room was beautiful and filled with thoughtful touches. The Italian-made bathroom products were top-notch, and Euterpe was the only place during our travels in Italy that provided dental kits, a shaving kit and a comb without our even asking! The linens and towels were exceptionally luxurious, the minibar prices very reasonable, and we were welcomed with a small bottle of quality wine and a lovely gift of local olive oil. Breakfast was special too, with homemade and locally sourced Sicilian specialties—fresh green apple juice, deep-fried ricotta pastries, pickled eggplant in white wine and beautiful pastries. We walked about 30 minutes to the Valley of the Temples at dusk—a magical and almost spiritual time to experience it—followed by some of the best pizza of our trip at nearby Queto Bar, in a fascinating cave-like space with sandstone walls. Having a reserved parking space was a huge plus, especially after our parking adventures throughout Sicily! That said, street parking in this area appeared much easier than in many of the other places we visited. Our host Alessia was warm, gracious and spoke perfect English. A beautiful stay in Agrigento!"

"The Villa Athena is an amazing luxury hotel with an amazing location. With a direct view of Greek temples, as well as private access, sets this property apart from others. In addition the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. We also enjoyed our private balcony with direct access to the property and pool area. The staff was welcoming and attentive. I like the size of the resort as it feels more intimate and personalized. We also took advantage of the amazing restaurant as well. We will definitely return for another stay in the future."

"We had a fantastic stay at The beautiful Porta Soprana. The room was fantastic and spacious, very clean. Lovely plentiful and delicious breakfasts were provided each morning and in the evening we enjoyed a wonderful meal on their terrace. Very much recommend."

"We thoroughly recommend the Villa Mario, Caltavuturo. For us, 5 adults, it was perfect because the double accommodation downstairs was private.We stayed for 11 days and the utilities were excellent. Downstairs has a utility room with fridge and washing machine & dryer. Each bedroom has A/C. Upstairs is the well appointed kitchen for food and drinks prep.The owner, Susanne, and Caretakers, Vincenzo & Lia were available and helpful when needed. Communication was prompt and no issue was too big a problem. In other words, you remained very much on holiday even when the normalities of life try to invade.We loved the pool which has a deep end which l estimated 2.25m deep. Of course there are steps in at the shallow end and the water in summer is the perfect temperature. Nature surrounds you.Cefalù 1 hr 15 mins, Palermo 1 hr 30 mins. Mt Etna (Piano Provenzana) 2 hrs 30 mins. All visited by car and worthy of mention. After a long trip out, we were often in Cafe Rouge, in Caltavuturo, to unwind with a very well presented Cocktail/Spritz!A bonus back at Villa Mario was the DeLonghi Coffee Machine. Watching the slow sunrise over the valley with sunlight filtering over the landscape is priceless. Helped with fresh ground coffee of course.Bedroom 1 (upstairs) has a walk in shower at the bed end which is shared with Room 2 (upstairs). Toilet separate upstairs. Downstairs have their own shower and toilet. Great for adult guests."
