We stayed at the marquis for one night as we were attending a wedding nearby. We had a lovely stay everyone was really friendly and helpful. The room was really nice with a comfortable bed and great view, and a tasty breakfast was included the next day. We would highly recommend staying if you're in the area, the location is fantastic and though we were only there for a short visit we hope to come back some day to spend some more time exploring the area!

Fabulous stay, wonderful building. Extremely welcoming and helpful friendly staff. Fab breakfast. Great proximity to the coast. Definitely recommend it.

Beautiful accommodation, clean and well stocked. Breakfast was amazing and the restaurant has the most amazing view! Will definitely be back!

Managers Ed and Anika could not have been more welcoming. Location in beautiful village location within driving distance of Dorchester. Room was modern and tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. All staff very attentive and could not do enough for you. Dining was superb and huge range of alcoholic beverages to suit all tastes. Excellent facilities for disabled customers. Even have spare wellies and umbrellas for sudden changes in weather. Excellent nights sleep in very comfortable beds....

Beautiful room with lots of little extras, good food and great staff.

What an awesome find ! As good as anywhere I have ever stayed beautiful building fabulously comfortable and so relaxing. So much effort must go into delivering such exceptional customer service. Rooms are large well stocked ( brownie tasters left with coffee were unreal - thanks apprentice Ben!) warm and comfortable. Food here really deserves to be enjoyed at length as I struggle to think when I have tasted food prepared so well with an imaginative twist on the menu - first class! Breakfast I...

We loved the place: it’s a charming, quaint old cottage that’s had a sympathetic B&B conversion and is exceptionally neat, tidy and spotlessly clean. James and Katherine are exceptionally welcoming and helpful, and good fun. Everything in the breakfast room was beautifully presented and laid out with precision, and the hearty breakfast was, of course, exceptional! Everything is home-made or sourced locally. James makes his own bread, preserves and granola. Our room was “bijou” but...

Second time here, another lovely room with plenty of space and well lit too. Parking was easy. Will definitely stay again.

Lovely stay, very friendly and attentive staff

A beautiful location. Spotlessly clean and we wanted to stay longer. Thank you for meeting us and making us feel welcome. Carl and Jo

Welcoming from the start with a pot of tea on arrival. Beautiful decor with homely feeling. Room and bed very comfortable and the breakfast is delicious - and all locally sourced where possible. Convenient for the town but need a car really to get down to the promenade. With ample street and some off road parking this wasn't an issue. Free wi-fi a bonus. Would definitely return.

A lovely b&b. Absolutely perfect for us. Would recommend anyone.
