We booked Hyatt Place Poughkeepsie at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was better than expected. We especially loved the breakfast setup. It had a cozy, home kitchen atmosphere that made us feel like we were in someone’s kitchen.

I’m a regular here since I work in the area and my commute home is sometimes too much for me after I complete my shifts. My stay is usually great but this time around I was very disappointed. The noise in the hotel was unbearable. Neighbors playing loud music, kids running in the hallway and fire alarm going off. Breakfast area not cleaned as often (floors and tables). I’m hoping this was just a one time thing because I really like this location.

Overall, I had a very nice and comfortable stay. Breakfast is good, but coffee is awful! The room is comfortable and clean, but marks on the wall/baseboard are not appealing along with rust spots in the shower. The chicken wings were delicious, and bar service on my last night was awesome! However, when I first arrived, the two ladies at the front desk were cold and distant. The service I received at the bar/ restaurant that night was a bit upsetting. They didn’t seem to know what they were doing…..
