Stayed for two nights with family while visiting to nearby National Park sites in Hyde Park. Just a short distance to these sites, but also close to shopping and restaurants. I have stayed in Poughkeepsie a number of times because of the convenient location. Hotel was doing some outside renovations, but it did not affect our stay.

Free easy parking with a covered drop area thankfully because it was pouring out! Beds were comfy,room very cleaning had water bottles waiting and a keurig. The free breakfast was a huge time saving perk! Coffee was really good and it is real food not wrapped danish! Eggs,meat,and a pancake machine!

We were at the Holiday Inn Express in Poughkeepsie probably for the last time attending our daughter's graduation. The location was terrific to come and go to Vassar and the restaurants and stores along route 9. Plenty of parking. The rooms were comfortable and ready. The breakfast is done as well as the type of hotel can do - there was even some variety between the mornings.
