Pleasant cabin in a peaceful area
Beautiful cabin in a lovely area. A little bit pricey, but a nice escape from the busy coastal areas. There was a stretch of unsealed road to access the property that I wasn’t expecting, but the road was well maintained. I didn’t love the indoor spa, the chlorine smell pervaded the rest of the cabin and the wall separating the area didn’t go all the way to the ceiling, so no way to shut it off entirely.

Hi There, Thank you for your review. I'm sorry you missed the section in the confirmation email we sent explaining that there is an unsealed road on the approach to our property, there is a lot of information in there! Unfortunately chlorine is a necessity with spas. If the small is a concern, we suggest leaving the lid shut, as outlined in the compendium, which will alleviate the issue. Otherwise we do have other houses with spas on the balcony!

The cottage we stayed in was beautifully decorated with a combustion fire and jacuzzi. The view from the veranda is gorgeous. The couple who run the property are friendly and helpful. A perfect place to relax surrounded by nature. Highly recommend.

Secluded retreat!
Incredibly secluded location, so be sure to take some provisions! We only stayed overnight, and didn't get much time to explore, but the location is pretty amazing and would be nice to explore!

Peaceful and beautiful. The Chapel was lovely and the overall grounds were great. Recommend for couples getaway. The spa is great too. 20-25 minutes drive to Forster. Only negatives, They need blinds on bedroom windows so 5am sunrise doesn't wake you and spa is very loud when it's heating.

Spacious, scenic getaway perfect for 3 families!
A fabulous weekend away for 3 couples with young children. The Tara lodge accommodated our group really well in terms of size. Plenty of space for the kids to run around outside in the cool fresh air. The lodge was far enough away from other cabins to feel like we were the only ones on the property. The jacuzzi was a nice added activity with a beautiful view. There were kangaroos visible close to the house which was lovely for the kids. Our only feedback is that it would be a 10/10 if there was a fire place inside or a firepit outside. it feels a bit bizarre being out on a beautiful property and sitting inside in the air con as in the evening. I believe all the other cabins do have fire places so one in the Tara lodge would be amazing. The tiles outside next to the jacuzzi are very slippery so beware with kids after getting out of the water. All in all we loved it and will be heading back for another stay!

Beautiful Cottage with gorgeous views.
We had a fabulous "ladies weekend" stay at the "Summer House" at Clarendon Forest Retreat. The Summer House has it's own private tennis court, volleyball net, indoor spa, fantastic views, spacious well designed cottage with plenty of room for people. The owners were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a group of 6. I will be back again and bring the hubby and kids along this time.

The cottage we stayed in was perfect, it was clean and tidy and well set out. The view from our deck was amazing with beautiful gardens surrounding and very peaceful (just the sound of birds). We had kangaroos come up to our deck and the variety of birds was great! Short drive to Forster! We would highly recommend staying at Clarendon Forest Retreat and we will be back to stay again. The staff were lovely and helpful during our stay.

Second visit here, loved it! Stayed in a different house, just as lovely as the first one, had our own spa and tennis court. Definately return but for longer next time. Dogs loved it too!
