The person I communicated with was pleasant enough, that wasn’t the issue(s). After a long day of travel, standing on a dark sidewalk in 0 degree temps going through processes and payments to get permission to enter something of a lobby area only to go on a search for a video screen/camera to complete the check in and get access to the room was a bit much. Once access was gained, the room was frigid, void of any usable thermostat or instructions on how to heat any one of the multiple rooms. When trying to operate the coffee maker (again no clear instructions and not a design I had used before) it became clear the machine had never been cleaned, no idea what was growing in the “clear” tubes coming out of the reservoir. Next I thought I’d heat water for tea but no way to light the gas burners, I don’t pack a matched/lighter for such occasions. Exhausted, it was late and I was too tired to find a new hotel, I ended up pulling bedding off of other beds to pile on the bed in the kitchen area (mind you it’s just a chuck of foam not a mattress) to get through the night. In the morning, hoping for a hot shower, I was met with barely warm water. The main reason I selected it was the Expedia star rating of 8.2 (being a loyal Expedia user for decades, I’m suspect of how this rating was achieved). I wouldn’t stay there again if it was free.

Loved loved the location....the hotel is small but lovely. Breakfast was wonderful. Rooms very comfortable and plenty large. Bathroom was clean and nice. If I ever come back...I will stay here again

It is a good family owned hotel. Nit luxurious though Service from reception excellent
