LOVELY 2 BED APARTMENT PORTHMADOG HARBOURSIDE VIEWS & CLOSE TO FESTINIOGG TRAINS
Wharf House is a lovely, ground floor two bedroomed apartment with a private courtyard overlooking the harbour. The flat has its own private car park with parking for two vehicles.
There are two kingsize bedrooms; the main bedroom with a triple wardrobe.
The flat has a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a washer/dryer for those staying longer. Handsoap, laundry liquid and washing up liquid are provided.
The large open living room has two sofas and a SKY Glass TV where all mainstream channels are available. Guests are able to login to their own Prime, Netflix and other streaming channels.
We have a bookcase full of books and magazines for guests to enjoy during their stay.
The bathroom has a bath with electric shower over, a hand basin and low level WC. Handsoap and toilet paper are provided.
All bed linen, towels, hand towels, oven gloves and dish cloths are provided. The flat is warmed with wall mounted electric radiators that are also included in the stay.
We are a pet friendly apartment but would ask that animals are not allowed on the sofas or beds.
Wharf House is perfectly situated as a gateway to Eyri (Snowdonia), we are minutes away on foot to the Festiniogg Steam Railway, a short car ride from the Italianate village of Portmeirion with its stunning coastal views and unique buildings. Down the road in Tremadog, you will find the Glaslyn Osprey Centre with powerful binoculars where you can watch the Ospreys in their natural habitat.
For those looking for beaches and castles, we are on the doorstep to the historic castles of Criccieth, Harlech, Caernarfon and Penrhyn. The stunning beach of Black Rock Sands is five minutes away in the car or by bus, Harlech and Criccieth beaches are also beautiful along with Abersoch 40 minutes away.
If you are a walker, Eyri and the surrounding area is a haven with mountains, forests and coastal walks for all abilities.
We are also in golfing paradise with an abundance of scenic and championship courses such as Royal St David's, Porthmadog, Dolgellau, Bala, Morfa Nefyn and many more only a short distance away.
If you are holidaying with children in addition to the days out already mentioned you will have the large leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool five minutes away on foot, Llechwedd Slate Caverns with its historic underground slate story, bounce below in the caverns and the longest zip wire in Europe. Bedgellert is also only a few minutes away with the engaging story of the Irish Wolfhound 'Gellert' Porthmadog has two superb shops selling beach games and outdoor equipment to go 'crabbing' on the Porthmadog harbour.
Borth y Gest is 10 minutes away on foot or three minutes by car. This beautiful bay is lined with the pastel fronted houses overlooking the bay towards Portmeirion and the hills beyond. There is a fantastic 'book swap' in the slate bus shelter where adults and children can choose books and games. This initiative is free-of-charge and Wharf House often donates books so please feel free to use this. You will also find The Seaview Restaurant with bifold doors opening on warmer days to the bay. This is pet and family friendly with a lovely ice cream and gift shop next door. Further down the road you will find The Deli serving superb food and wines. You can then carry on your walk along the coastal path to the hidden bays of Borth y Gest.
In the village of Borth y Gest (less than three minutes away in the car, there is a fantastic book exchange for adults and children that is located in the slate bush shelter)
We want our guests to enjoy the area around them and we are more than happy to help guests plan days out. The flat has an abundance of tourist leaflets and we also have a folder we have put together with ideas for sunny days, dull days, rainy days, snow days and stormy days. There really is so much to do whatever the weather.

Whilst the property was clean, it needs a lot of work and updating. Felt dark and shabby. Photos of how close you are to the harbour are misleading. Outside area was in need of work and lounger covers badly stained.
