Perthi is within walking distance to the centre of Porthmadog, a busy harbour town on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Steam Railway, a must visit for families and rail enthusiasts alike. There are plenty of eateries, supermarkets, and independent shops to browse. You are within easy reach of Black Rock Sands where you’ll find miles of sweeping sands and dunes, Portmeirion is just down the road, an enchanting Italian-style village. Walk along the coastal path to the charming, picturesque Borth Y Guest at just over a mile in distance, a great walk for all abilities. The Llŷn Peninsula is an unspoilt, designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of coastal and mountain walks to explore. There is wildlife in abundance, pods of dolphins, seals, and birdlife to spot. Nearby Pwllheli has plenty of shops to browse around, eateries and a large beach with miles of sweeping sands. Everything you need is in the property and so close to the centre of Porthmadog and amenities but due to its location and design it's very quiet. ##### Keith This review comes from a trusted partner site and has not been verified. ### 10/10 Excellent #### CATHRYN GRIFFITHS 8 Nov 2025 #### Great little gem could not fault it at all, very clean and tidy from the garden to even the outside Great little gem could not fault it at all, very clean and tidy from the garden to even the outside recycle bins, very comfortable bed, as was the sofa not to low, everything you needed in the kitchen was there, tea, coffee sugar, milk with a plus awaits you, which is really appreciated, the garden is fully enclosed so no worries about letting your dog out, the owners are very nice and VERY helpful, the property is in a quiet location but is only 5 minutes from the town.
