Situated at the north end of the Cape; it’s a short walk to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, and just a few steps to the sand and water’s edge. Swim, kayak, paddle board and play in the Gulf and Bay. The ground floor has parking for up to 5 cars, elevator access, an outdoor shower/restroom and locking storage for beach toys. The main level includes a spacious kitchen/living/family room. Ten foot ceilings and a wall of windows provide a bright, airy and open gathering space. The decks provide a venue for relaxing and taking in the exceptional view. The dining table seats 10, with an additional 4 seats at a kitchen island. The kitchen is loaded with prep and serving amenities; two dishwashers, a beverage fridge, a professional ice maker and more. There is a queen guest suite with a bath on this level, and a king suite with a bath as well. The third level features the master king suite, a king guest room, and a guest room with 2 XL twin beds, and a full bath. Each room faces the Gulf with access to the balcony. The grandchildren range in age from 6 to 18 and all love the accommodations and toys available for the beach. The kayak gave them an opportunity to observe dolphins and sea turtles up close. They even saw a shark. The kitchen is well stocked so preparing meals isn’t a challenge. Having beach towels is an extra bonus. Everything is supplied for the first couple of days so you don’t have to go to the store immediately upon arrival. The house is very clean and flowers are a special welcoming touch. The kayaks and other toys provided add to fun on the beach and also observing turtles, fish and other things up close out in the ocean. The house is clean and well maintained. Brian and Donna are always helpful if you have any questions. The sunsets on the beach are spectacular. It is a family friendly beach and not crowded leaving plenty of room for games on the beach. Reviewer Comments: Our family of nine loves stlaying at Sol Mate. We enjoy preparing our meals in the well equipped kitchen while being able to look out and see dolphins. Having two dishwashers is a bonus as dirty dishes aren’t left in the sink. The beach towels provided are an extra bonus. The beds and linens are very comfortable. Of course, the beach and gulf are the real attraction. With the beach renewal there was more beach area this year. We look forward to Brian stopping by to say hello each year. Brian, Donna and their staff are always helpful if anything is needed. The house has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay at the beach. So nice to be able to walk right out to the beach, come up for lunch and head back out until sunset.
