It was a cozy home equipped with everything you would ever need. We did have some issues with the toilet upstairs but it was resolved. I would definitely recommend it! It’s a Close walk to the beach. We’ll be back!!
We loved our stay and the proximity to the beach!! This is also a great location from downtown Port Saint Joe, which has so many awesome food options. The instructions in the manual on how to get into the laundry room were outdated so we did have to call to clear that up and we called a separate time because we only had 4 washcloths provided ( all the washcloths ended up in the condo next store on accident). The service was immediate and easy! The house is so well stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our family trip so much.
We had an enjoyable stay at this house. The proximity to the beach was fantastic and the beach itself was great. My family enjoyed the many waves in the water and the sand was beautiful. Best part of all was that it wasn't crowded at all! The house itself worked well for our family of 4 - living room seating would have been harder if there were more of us, but there were plenty of beds to accommodate more. Port St. Joe had some good restaurants to eat at but the kitchen was also great for cooking at home. Probably my only complaint is that the shower for the primary room was hard to get a good temperature in - the perfect temperature is in the off position - too hot one way, a little too chilly the other. There was also more noise from the road that I wasn't expecting at the house, so just be aware of that...not too bothersome inside, but it was loud sitting on the porch. All in all, we had a lovely stay.

Week with the family Clean Rental
Property is exactly as advertised. Beach access is just across the busy street. Very clean and spacious, our door code did not work so we had to call , local number did not work, so we had to use the other one. But they gave us a new code immediately . The wifi did not work, so I had to call again, they were able to give me another network to join. Had to call a 3rd time to locate a key to the laundry room, but turns out there is no key, it was another code. Other than those things, property was clean and not too far from Port St Joe, maybe 10 min. Response to messages on VRBO was days, but they answered the main phone number given. They also allowed us to check in 45 min early when we got into town.
We had a wonderful vacation in this adorable house. Very convenient to the non crowded beach (we saw dolphins everyday). My only issues, which is very minor, the shower temperature was hard to get right and the bedroom was missing the remote to the ceiling fan so we couldn’t sleep with the fan on unless we had the light on as well. I will definitely stay here again!!!!
Property was roomy and clean. More than enough space for a couple. There were even extra bedrooms. Convenient location right across the road from the beach. This area is great in that it was not crowded.
It is a decent place to stay. Just be aware that there are alot of stairs, it is located right on the highway so there is some traffic noise and 3 glass doors and one window have no curtains or blinds. We taped towels over them. All in all we did enjoy our stay.
Overall, we had a great time. The house was clean and well stocked. The beds and couch were super comfy. The road noise is loud from the front deck, but you can't hear the road at all from the beach. We never had an issue crossing the busy road. I would have preferred more window coverings at the front of the house and kitchen for privacy, but that's about my only complaint.
There was construction going on right next door, the entire trip that we were never notified of. There is also a huge camper parked right outside the back (see photo). The host or host company gave the complete run-around and blamed VRBO (who really helped us). Also, several things were broken(hot water, light bulbs out, lock down stairs, washing machine). Overall, it was the worst booking I’ve ever used. Oh, and BEWARE the hidden fees were more than the actual rental cost(see below)! I hope this review saves others.
Great place to stay for a long weekend getaway with friends! Cute home with all essentials! Very cute, safe area. Able to walk right across the street to get to the beach instead of all the way to the boardwalk! The toilet upstairs did have trouble flushing multiple times, however contacted management company. Hope it’s fixed to not cause bigger problems. Beds were comfortable and place was very clean. Soap/shampoo provided in shower. Also kid friendly.
Awesome stay for a mama friend getaway!
It was our first time vacationing in this area. We loved this property. The check in instructions were late coming in but I called along the way and we got all set up. I had no further issues with anything there. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had all of the utensils we needed. I was pleasantly surprised to find beach toys in the laundry. We left two boogie boards behind for the next kiddos. Some things about the area that you may not know that surprised us (not bad things just fyi): They are right on the edge of the central / eastern time zone. So if you exit right you are central time. If you exit left it’s eastern. Everything downtown is closed on Sunday and Monday so don’t plan on boutique or souvenir shopping on those days. When we did go shopping, it was great! There is no clear path to the beach from the property but it’s there! We had to cross at an old home site but it was safe and there’s a trail once you get off the concrete. Most drivers on the highway were very courteous and would slow to let you cross. I have posted a picture. Trip Highlights:Snorkeling with AquaBear! SO much fun. Our kids are aged 21 to 6 and everyone had the best time.Hunts on St Joe Bay was our best meal. Followed closely by The Brickwall. I do not recommend KrazyFish. My son and husband had a great time fishing with Gettin Reel. The captain cleaned what they caught and we cooked it for dinner that night!
Our Reservations were cancelled and we found out 5 hours from arrival
We were 5 hours driving on interstate from our check in time when I happened to look at my personal email and discovered our reservations were cancelled. I phoned Destination Vacation Rentals and spoke with someone who spoke broken English and told me to call another number which she did not supply to receive help with finding another place to stay. She said they called me 24 hours to notify me. No there was not a phone call or voice mail. We never saw the home but I definitely would stay away from DESTINATION VACATION RENTALS. I am sure this home was lovely and understand the maintenance issue which caused the cancellation of our vacation. I appreciate the return of all of our money HOWEVER, we were within 5 hours of our check in and were forced to find something else within our budget to check in immediately. It was a very stressful situation that was totally unnecessary. We will avoid booking anything with this company again.
We loved the layout of this place and it’s decor. It’s roomy and It has everything you need during your stay. It’s convenient across from the beach. We caught plenty sunrises and sunsets while on our stay. Check out the shrimp shack while visiting, Bruno’s pizza at windmark & the White Marlin in St. Joe is amazinggg. A must try. Also the sand dollar cafe is great for breakfast or lunch.
This place was very pretty, could have been a good bit cleaner. They did leave us cleaning supplies which helped tremendously. Counters, toilets, sheets weren’t nasty but had all been used and not completely cleaned. The deadbolt on front door wasn’t locked, nor did it have the locking mechanism. Trash can was very loose in the drawer so we put it out in the floor for safety issues. Someone was parked in the parking area and it was reported. Since nothing was done in regards to parking, I decided to leave the other issues alone and clean myself. I honestly didn’t mind though. It honestly seems like a very nice, newly renovated place that someone isn’t taking care of.
