The most awful venue I’ve stayed in ever. Cockroaches in the room, bathroom horrendous. Lights not working. Globes missing from lights.

Nice, rather old, hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant in/attached to the hotel. Parking was impossible at the time we arrived (many restaurants/shops in the area) but we were able to move our car later in the evening.

Stayed here for 2 nights, after booking we weren’t given very clear information on where reception was, the address wasn’t on the booking either. Was waiting at reception for 5 mins before having to find assistance. The room was ok, was dust all along the carpet near the walls and the bathroom has major mould damage. The parking wasn’t designated to guests as we couldn’t get a park the first day which was irritating, there’s a bottle shop next to the parking so customers were using the reserved parking, and the bins near the parking were full of seafood so you’d gag going to your car

Basics for a sleep, really lovely staff
Very simple accommodation. Bed and towels. Not even a bedside table. Shared shower old and not as advertised. No tv in room as advertised either.

Hotel Disappointing
I would not recommend this hotel. It’s ancient and in need of refurbishment - but the beds were clean and comfortable. Port Macquarie however is in itself a great place to stay

We did not have an enjoyable stay at all. No air conditioning as promised and paid for. Nothing done about it when informed. Ceiling fan sounded like it was going to fall out of the ceiling, so noisy and rattling the whole night. Dead cockroach stuck to the blanket that was sitting on the shelf. Very noisy property. Not only wouldn’t the worker match the “online” price of the room, when i said I would book online instead, he suddenly developed a bad attitude, told me “I should have told him the online price was cheaper” and then suddenly the online price increased?? The second person I dealt with was much nicer. Great location. Food was great. Bar staff friendly. Nice cold beer. We will never stay at this property again. I do not recommend!

The accommodation for the property needs an update badly. The rooms carpets felt very dirty i didn't want to walk in the room with no shoes on. there was paint coming off the walls in the room, the shower didn't look like it had been cleaned due to soap wrappers in the bottom of the shower. to end on a positive the staff were great friendly and helpful

Really let go unfortunately. No AC and fan only worked flat out. Holes in bed and in walls. Shower rails missing. Toilet disgusting. Mould on walls. Only reason it got three stars as the staff are so nice and they deserve more. The accomodation itself would be 2 stars and that’s being generous.

The room was hot and having the windows open they had no flywire and the smell from the kitchen exhaust fans entered the room. The room door did not close properly. Previous clients had smoked in the room and cockroaches were running around the room. Photos on the website did not match. The communal shower was very old and no separate toilets for men and women. A very disappointing stay overall

The staff did not answer the phone despite repeated calls on a Saturday afternoon. They were not in the office when I arrived at 7:00 pm and we had to wait 5 minutes for them to appear. My hotel room door was difficult to open because it was stiff. I would have been stay alone in my room. There were bouncers on all doors indicating the need for control of the patrons. My room did not have a bathroom so I would have had to walk down the corridor to use it. If this was the case later in the evening and felt uncomfortable running into one of guests I did not feel confident that my door would open quickly. I did not trust the staff to be available to answer my call if I had any issues. As a result I chose NOT to stay there. I expect to have my money returned in full. In addition Expedia will be deducting $134.31 from my account instead of the agreed price of $81.53. The Commonwealth Bank will be acting on my behalf to recover the extra $52.78 that I was overcharged.
