Gorgeously located on the shores of Squamish Harbor in Port Ludlow, this water-view home exudes calm, relaxation, and serene natural beauty in every season. It's a wonderful spot to spend the summer collecting seashells on the beach across the street and winter holidays curled up under a blanket with a view of Puget Sound. The interior living space is full of natural light, with windows throughout the home that frame views of either the ocean or the surrounding evergreen canopy. Come home from a morning on the beach, a kayaking excursion, pickle ball court, or an exploration of the Olympic Peninsula to toss the day's clothes in the private washer/dryer and both prepare and eat dinner with an incredible view. Bring your coffee and dessert outside to the deck, and settle in for a good show or a movie in either the loft or the downstairs den.

The host was welcoming and responsive. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and instructions were clear and delivered well before they were needed. Very organized and streamlined process.
The host was incredibly welcoming and accommodating for last minute, unexpected requests. They were also very organized, proactive about sending check-in and check-out information ahead of time, and were a major reason as to why the stay was hassle-free. The home is beautiful and spacious; everyone had their own room and bed and the beds were comfortable and clean. The entire house was clean and tidy. The home had stunning views and was near a beach which was a fun plus! This stay had incredible value for money and would gladly stay again if we're ever in the area. Highly recommend this home to others!
Nice house, gorgeous view. Had some frustration about amenities, as the fireplace was not working through our visit, and the listing still indicated beach access at the time, even though the stairs end on a sudden drop instead of hitting the beach. Support was responsive to feedback, which was appreciated.
View was great. Pickleball court was a lot of fun. House was arranged well. Dogs welcomed.

Home away from Home
This home was lovely. Fully equipped kitchen. Clean, spacious, gorgeous peaceful views. Comfortable beds and furniture we we felt right at home. Providing soaps, shampoos and thank you gifts was a really nice touch. Definitely worthy of repeat stays.
Overall great location and views. Our sheets are either dirty or stains and the dishes and utensils has dried foods on it. We would stay again in the future.
Our friends from Montana joined us for a weekend get away on Shine Road. What a relaxing, enjoyable place to be. The property was clean and inviting. I recommend this accommodation for just about anyone! There is room for couples, families, even small groups. Highly recommend!
The house was a great location for what we wanted to do, spend time in Port Townsend and hang out together. The rooms upstairs were great for all the girls to hang out together before they go their separate ways. House had everything we needed and was clean upon arrival.
This house was perfect for us and our visiting family from North Dakota. The view is spectacular. The house is big and had enough space for all. The house is a little outdated but was very clean. Yard is huge. There was a pickleball/basketball court that the family loved.
We had 5 adults and 2 children staying here. There was plenty of room for all of us. We could all be together or if someone wanted privacy they could go to another room. The view of the sound was amazing and we really enjoyed it. It was comfortable and all of the basics were provided. We were here in the winter, but summer visitors would be able to enjoy the outdoor seating and the basketball/pickleball court. There were a few places that could have been cleaner, but overall it was clean. I would stay here again.
The view was awesome. There were also a lot of alternative play areas for kids, such as basketball, pickle ball, sands, and also boardgames in the den and upstairs.
The most remarkable thing was the Mongolian bbq grill. First time experience and we used it all night. It was very intuitive and out was highly delicious. I am still a fan of charcoal ones, but this is an awesome choice for getaways.
Just one thing to consider. If you are sensitive to highway noise, this property may be suitable for you. It was not a big deal for us and we enjoyed and spent a very good time at the property overall.

Beautiful location but did have some issues.
Positives: The view from the house and porch is beautiful, beds were comfortable, plenty of parking and quality space for kids to run around and play on the grass and on the basketball court.
Negatives: Beach access is difficult with missing steps, nearby ramp to beach is on private property and is not to be utilized per owners. Primary issue within home was lack of response/service. Dishwasher was broken, and there was a significant smell in the hot water, both sinks and showers. When I informed Vacasa, I was told that the maintenance team would be notified, but no one came by and I received no further contact. This was a significant issue as we had young children on the trip and they didn't want to take showers because the smell was overwhelming to them.

This home was perfect for our family to gather and relax in! Lots of spaces to spread out in and to come together in.
The beds are very comfortable; I meant to look to see the brand of memory foam (?) mattresses they have but put it off until it was too late. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, and pots & pans.
The internet was better than advertised and we didn't have any problem connecting several devices and streaming videos all at the same time.
I suspect the water is from a well as it had a slight sulfur smell to it (as others have complained about) but we got used to it and didn't notice it after the first day. The water heater is small though, and I never got a good shower - mostly because I took mine after doing dishes or after my SO had taken theirs. The showers came with single-use sized bottles of Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body soap bars, what a nice surprise.
There is a TON of parking, though the drive way might get dicey if there was any ice on the ground. Across the street is the water and your access to it. It is a seep set of wooden stairs down to a landing/deck and then another set of stairs down to the beach - unfortunately though, these last steps ended about 2 feet above the ground and there was a lot of tree trunks and other tree debris there making getting down trickier than we though worth it. The grounds around the home are nicely landscaped with several apple (?) trees. There is also a pickleball (?) / small basketball
The door code given to me didn't work so we had to stand out in the ugly, rain and call Vacasa to get a new code. After 20+ minutes, we finally got it. We thought there was a fire pit, but there wasn't. The "grill" listed was not a BBQ, but a flat-top, so we couldn't do s'mores like we'd planned. The kitchen needed a new set of pans, a cookie sheet, larger cooking dishes (like a 9" x 13" or 10" x 15" Pyrex dish) and serving platters/plates as well as A sharp knife! When a house says it will sleep 10+ people, I would expect it to have more than one 8" x 8" dish. The washer and dryer needed to be deep cleaning and smelled like mold and mildew. On the good side, the beds were comfortable, and the linen closet was nicely stocked. I'm not sure if the listing said anything about having a hair dryer, but it would've been nice to know that they supplied shampoo, conditioner, soap, TP, paper towels, dish soap, new sponge etc. so I didn't have to pack it. The driveway was huge and could easily hold 8+ cars. We didn't like the fact that the garbage from the previous party was taking up 3/4 of the outside, rolling bin and stuck so bad, we had to keep moving it farther and farther away from the house so we could stand walking past it into the house. The stairs on the pulley system were broken so we couldn't get down to the beach and had to use the next-door neighbor's stairs. Looked like someone was getting ready to pour some new concrete stairs, but that didn't help my 85-year-old Uncle.
The place is a fantastic place to relax and spend some time enjoying nature, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It's extremely spacious but it still feels cozy and "warm". Food delivery in the area takes longer, if you're used to a more city cwntric environment but there's plenty of places close by for you to drive to, so it's not a big issue. There are also lots of interesting places nearby you can go exploring. This was definitely one of the most relaxing stays I've had in quite a while! 10 out of 10!
