The location is absolutely perfect. The restaurants are fabulous with many options. Regine is a gracious and responsive hostess. We lived our stay here.
The house was perfect location for our trip visiting beaches and museum's. It was clean and very well equiped with everything we needed and Regine was lovely and friendly.
This house was just perfect for our weekend with 2 friends and the central location was just the right position to reach many of the WW2 museums and beaches so well worth extending our drive from Calais. We loved the view of the harbour and the experience of the Sunday market right outside our door. The house is very well equipped, comfortable and exceptionally clean. There are several good restaurants and shops very close by. Our host was very helpful and welcoming and the whole weekend was very memorable and thought provoking. Museum at Aromanches and Dead Man’s corner both well worth a visit.
The property was just as described. Regine arrived to let us in and showed us the house. Very comfortable and pretty. Excellent location in the center of the village that made for easy strolling to restaurants and shops.
This is a second time we have stayed in this beautiful home in the seaside village. The house has everything you need and is very clean and cozy. The host, Regine, is a lovely woman and make sure that you are comfortable. Beautiful location, beautiful home, highly recommend it.
The location is gorgeous and the house was perfect. Regine the host was very welcoming and had provided everything we could possibly need. Close to restaurants, bars and of course patisseries. Would love to return. Thank you Regine.
Loved our stay here in the Normandy area. Just loved this little town.
The apartment was perfect, beds were comfy too!
The owners were very helpful when we needed the heaters turned on! We hit a rainy and cold period!
For those with mobility issues, fyi, all bedrooms are located up stairs.
This property is just perfectly situated for D-Day experience. Beautiful home spacious and really comfortable, everything you mighr need is there. Host was fantastic nothing too much trouble. Would recommend to everyone and the little port itself has plenty of places to eat and seafood is its speciality.
The property over looks the harbour and is very close to the many restaurants and local shops with a Super U in walking distance.
It is a very clean and well maintained house with lots of personal touches in both in decorations and kitchen accessories. The garage was a bonus.
We are happy to recommend and give it 5 stars
We loved this house in the middle of a picturesque fishing village. The house was immaculate and well equipped with plenty of space for two couples. Situated close to all of the DDay sites, it made our excursions easy to maneuver. Evenings were spent enjoying meals at the many great restaurants in town. The Sunday morning farmers market is on the same street and is filled with a huge variety of vegetables fruits fish and cooked dishes. Unbelievable!
We booked this lovely well equipped home in Port en Bisson for 5 days with another couple. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The location is very convenient to the D Day Beaches and museums. There are many local restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. A wonderful bakery is steps away. There is a view of the busy fishing port right outside your front window and a peaceful sitting nook off the very well supplied kitchen. A private garage is helpful if street parking is full. We highly recommend this VRBO. Thank you Regine
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. The views of the Marina are lovely and there are several restaurants easily reached by walking. The beds and furniture were comfortable and it was great to have 3 bathrooms. Everything was well maintained. The host even has a book of owner's manuals for the appliances in case you need assistance. There is a weekly market on Sundays which unfortunately we missed (it looked like it was going to be amazing!). If you stay here you should know on Sunday morning the street is closed to cars. If you have a car and need to go somewhere you will need to park it away from the home so you can access it. There was a lot within a 5 minute walk so no big deal. The host told us about the market so we were well informed. The host was very helpful and responsive. All in all simply a fantastic experience. Thank you Regine - it was a pleasure. :)
We visited the area to see the local D-Day sites. The house was in a great location for this - a short drive to get to most places. The house itself was a real home from home - spacious and comfortable. Some juice and biscuits on arrival were very welcome. Lots of kitchen utensils and bathroom towels were provided. There is a garage - but we didnt need to use it as there were free spaces to park opposite the house. On a Sunday there is a French market right outside (from 7am) so you need to move the car to a nearby road/ car park the night before - this wasn't a problem but is worth knowing. The port itself is beautiful .... a real working fishing port - we loved watching the boats go out every evening and return in the morning. The atmosphere around the area is relaxed - there is a small supermarket within a few minutes walk and cafes and restaurants all around (a number of which close by about 6pm). Quite a few of the retaurants weren't open - but that might be the time if year - as it was quite quiet around. We also enjoyed some lovely sunset walks around the area. If you want a home from home in this area, I recommend this lovely house.
Superb location, market right outside on Friday night and Sunday morning. Quiet area, parking easy, great places to eat. Just loved the town…. Would highly recommend…
Fantastic position, right on the harbour, with shops (bakery, fish market, small supermarket) and good restaurants all within easy walking distance. Parking was easy right outside, but we did use the garage. Further afield there was lots to see. Bayeux is close by, while we visited Arromanches-les-Bains and Pegasus Bridge, plus the German battery at Longues-sur-Mer. This was not a planned ‘D-day’ visit but it really gripped (and moved) me.
We had a great time
The house was lovely and in a great position overlooking the harbour
We came with my adult children to visit the D day beaches and war cemeteries and the house was in a perfect position for this
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again but for longer next time
One of the best rentals I’ve ever had. The house is immaculate and modern, Regine is a gracious host. Everything was top notch. The Sunday farmers market right outside was a treat. Watching the fishing boats from the dining table was therapeutic. Several bistros, a small supermarket and patisseries within shouting distance. My family and I absolutely loved this place and it will be my location of choice every time I return to Normandy.
Beautiful house in a stunning location. Close to all the D day landing beaches and museums and the Bayeux tapestry. Port en Bessin is a lovely town with some great restaurants and shops within minutes walking from the house. Parking was no problem and we even managed to get our large car into the garage, just. The Sunday market was fabulous and we had fireworks over the harbour on the Friday night. Regine was helpful with any questions we had. I can't recommend this house enough, such a lovely place and we would love to come back. The pictures don't do it justice.
