The property looks over a bird sanctuary and there was endless opportunities to view many types of birds. Watching the ships come and go from the house was also a real treat. The furnishings and decor went beautifully with the view. The original art, gorgeous kitchen, and upscale furnishings set your home apart. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed to prepare a meal. Both the indoor and outdoor areas were exceptionally clean. The quiet neighborhood helped us truly relax and unwind.It was amazing to witness the ever changing array of birds. There were far too many species to list here, but our favorite find was on the first evening when we saw a Long-Billed Curlew.Each day we'd start out on the deck overlooking an amazing, one of a kind sanctuary. Next, we'd head out birding to High Island, Galveston, Sabine Pass or Anahuac. Finally, we'd come back, and go back out on the deck to put our tired feet up and bird some more. The house is in a nice location with beautiful views, the fishing jetty right next to it and a nice beach cove. The house provided many activities for my kids, the putt putt was a highlight of our trip, as well as the slip and slide. The fenced in yard was perfect for the pups and the three bedrooms were perfect for the family. Mostly isolated from other homes the privacy was fantastic. Everything we needed was minutes away.
