Thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry you felt the bed was worn out. All have been replaced since we bought this place five years ago. Maybe a guest had been particularly rough on that bed but since this review is anonymous I don't know which room to check as we have not had other complaints. Feel free to contact us directly.

We take guest safety very seriously and were horrified that this happened. The results could have been tragic but I chose not to dwell on the “what-could-have-been” with you and instead let you know what we would do - inspect all our electric blankets for issues. We are now considering removing electric blankets from all the beds but many of our guests specifically ask for them. You actually moved one from a single bed to your bed to continue sleeping on electric warmth. What to do? Thanks for the otherwise good review.

Sorry you didn't like the bed and pillows. Your review is anonymous so I don't know which unit you were in. There are an assortment of pillow types on the beds and spares in the closets so usually guests can find something they like. We've replaced half the beds this year and have had feedback from 'they are great' to 'they are too firm.'

We notify guests when we find things left behind. Sometimes we catch them when they are still in the area and they retrieve them; otherwise we offer to post or donate to the local hospital op shop.
