We had an amazing time at this wonderful gite!
What an absolute gem this place is! The property itself is lovely, perfect for our family of 5, the gardens are incredible, with a table tennis table, table football, badminton net, boules court and football goal. Our boys were in their element and were never bored! The garden itself is filled with a beautiful array of flowers. The swimming pool was amazing, we spent so much time in there and the pool surroundings are very relaxing. The owners Serge and Bea were so welcoming, they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. There was a delicious home made fruit tart left for us along with a bottle of wine and fruit basket. Later in the week Serge dropped in some fresh figs from the garden. They are the perfect hosts and we had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Dordogne. Thank you so much.

Beautiful gite, would come again!
Stunning gite, well maintained and beautifully kept by the kindest loveliest couple Serge and Beatrice. They would do anything for you 😀 The pool was kept clean and was great fun, everything in the gite for perfect for our stay. Kids loved the pool, football, bowls, table tennis and football table. Many peaceful places to chill and take in the beautiful gardens and surrounding vineyards. Homemade apple tart, pear jam and bottle of wine from the local vineyard welcomed us on our first day. Thanks for everything Serge and Beatrice x

Excellent place to stay near Bergerac
Stayed here May 2023 with a few friends and Serge and Beatrice's gîte was absolutely perfect! The facilities are excellent, hosts exceptionally friendly and the pool, gardens and surrounding area delightful. We loved Serge's collection of robots! Would definitely recommend to others and absolutely stay here again!

Loved it!
We stayed 7 nights at the gite, gorgeous weather for October topped only by the owners warmth and friendliness. Perfect location for visiting the area. Near to Ch Monbazillac, 10 mins from Bergerac, surrounded by beautiful vineyards and countryside. Highly recommend this gite.

This property is immaculate, totally equipped for a group of single ladies or families. The pool area is beautiful and the hosts have put so much thought into the gardens. There are some lovely spots to eat a meal whether you want to be in the sun or the shade, so catering for everyone. I couldn't recommend this part of France more, bergerac is a beautiful town with lots of great places to eat, grab a beer or just get an ice cream. The shopping is fab for gifts, clothes, market produce and also lovely jewellers. We will be returning to this fabulous villa next year!!!

Een klein paradijs !
In één woord: fantastisch. Een zeer warm welkom door de eigenaars, alle nodige info beschikbaar om de buurt te verkennen. Een perfect uitvalspunt voor verschillende uitstappen: wijndomeinen bezoeken, grotten, dierentuin, waterpretpark, … voor elk wat wils. Een zeer uitgestrekte tuin, een prachtig zwembad, omgeven door kleurrijke bloemen, kortom: een klein paradijs, waarin we een week zalig vertoefd hebben.

Great family stay (an under 1, boiling hot and still amazing)
We had a great time here and the property and grounds were perfect for us. Serge and Beatrice were so friendly and helpful and we could ask them anything via message during our stay and they very quickly responded (thank you Google translate!) We were on our first trip abroad with our 10month old and the weather was extremely hot, but the gite allowed us to keep cool due to the nice temperature inside and the air con in the upstairs rooms. The swimming pool was also fantastic, as was the pétanque pitch and table tennis area, which we enjoyed in the evenings. The gite is set in a lovely location. It’s an easy drive to a lovely artisan bakery (5mins) and local wineries/chateaus (5-15mins) to pick up goodies from to enjoy back on the terrace at the gite. It’s also easy to get to places like Bergerac, Eymet, etc to enjoy the lovely markets and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay and are really grateful to our hosts for creating such a lovely setting. The fruit tart that Sege baked was also amazing! Thank you both!

Great property, brilliant pool and lovely hosts
We had a super stay at La Salagre. The property is in a lovely location surrounded by vineyards and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The pool and pool area are absolutely fantastic and a lovely place to relax. It was so hot that we made the most of the pool and the air conditioning in the bedrooms was great. Serge and Beatrice were lovely and friendly hosts who made us feel very welcome and had lots of suggestions for things to do. It was great being able to practice some French when speaking with them. I’d definitely recommend a stay in this gite. Thank you

Perfection!
We had the most wonderful week at this beautiful gite. The pool and the gardens were wonderful for walks and for our dog to explore. Inside, the furnished property had thought of everything. Upon arrival, our hosts came to greet us and had prepared a beautiful fruit flan, jam and a bottle of wine. The gite is secluded and in the country, but close to vineyards and restaurants and very close to the town. We had a truly wonderful holiday.

Hard to better.
Our hosts Serge and Beatrice were very helpful and friendly. The gite is set amongst vineyards and has a superb garden with lovely flowers, driftwood and pots. The pool is warm and has lots of chairs and sun beds to relax on which stand on a beautiful stone. Inside the decor is tasteful . There are comfortable sofas, a TV and a large dining table. aThe air conditioning in the bedrooms is a real bonus. We had a brilliant week and will come again. It is close to Bergerac and its’ old town with many restaurants. The Monbazillac chateau and vineyard are very close by and well worth a visit.

Perfect Holiday
This was the holiday that we had planned 2 years ago, before travel was interrupted, and have been looking forward to since then. Our patience was rewarded. It certainly didn’t disappoint. A peaceful setting in the countryside but close enough to the town of Bergerac to ensure that shopping and dining requirements were satisfied. The gîte had everything to make it a comfortable stay both inside and outside. The furniture and equipment left nothing to be desired and the house is in a lovely garden setting. Although there were just the two of us, there were plenty of games and amusements to keep a family happy. Everything was very clean and bright to fit in with the Dordogne climate, including the pool area where we spent a good part of our time. Serge and Beatrice have put a lot of thought into making Gîte La Salagre the perfect place for a one or two week holiday for all ages and their effort didn’t stop there, as we have never come across such caring hosts. Without being intrusive they were on hand to make sure that we had an enjoyable time. Nothing was too much trouble and although we didn’t get round to following all their suggestions of things to do and places to go, we had a wonderful two weeks. After all, we needed to leave something for next time!

Outstanding property
Gite Salagre is situated in vineyards in the wine growing around surrounding Bergerac. The hosts Serge and Beatrice are exceptional in their customer service from initial arrival to departure. Fresh produce from the garden and a delicious home made tart set the tone for a wonderful stay. The gite is set in the Dordogne and served by a local airport. There are numerous places of both historical interest and natural beauty both on the doorstep and within easy driving distance. After a days sightseeing it was great to come back to the swimming pool which was there for our exclusive use. All the pictures accurately reflected what we found.

A Delightful Place
If I were to summarise the house and owners in just one word it would be "generous". The owners are warm, friendly, helpful and generous with their time and advice. They live on-site in the next door property but are not at all intrusive. We managed to communicate with a mix of French and English, plus the usual sign language and gestures! The welcome gift of a home made plum tart plus produce from the garden during the week was very kind and delicious. The house is great, very well equipped and fitted out to a high standard. It's set in lovely gardens with a petanque pitch, lawn badminton and table tennis to keep you active plus both a gas and charcoal BBQ for guest use. The garden is beautifully maintained and very pretty. On two sides of the house there are large, covered patios. The side one has a dinning table and chairs for 8 people while there is a sofa and chairs for 4 where it joins the back patio. There is also a bistro table and chairs on the lawn. The pool is large with plenty of sun loungers, umbrellas and another sofa / chair set. Serge keeps the pool very clean. The area is quiet and pretty with plenty to do. We enjoyed the local villages and markets and really appreciated the 1 week / 2 week schedule of things to do up on the wall which just made it all so easy. A delightful place with lots to offer visitors and with the bonus of great owners.

Wonderful Gite
Six of us - parents, grandparents and children - had the great pleasure to spend a week at this fantastic property, only 10 mins from Bergerac airport, yet set in a quiet location among the vineyards. Serge and Beatrice welcomed us with a tour of the house and grounds and kindly gifted us a bottle of red wine and a lovely apple tart. Communication wasn't always easy but we had fun using a mixture of hand signals and mobile phone technology to overcome the language barrier. The pool, landscaped gardens and the sunsets are all spectacular, and we appreciated that the hosts (and a robot lawn mower!) put in a lot of discreet work to keep everything in perfect condition. It was was very hot during our stay, which made it difficult to sleep, but there are plenty of outdoor seating options, so it was always possible to find somewhere shady to relax or have a snooze through the day. The kitchen is very well equipped, which allowed us to make full use of the fresh produce available in local markets, along with potatoes and tomatoes kindly donated by the owners from their own garden! The week passed too quickly but we enjoyed days out to St Emilion, Monbazillac (night market), Beaumont du Perigord (medieval tour by torchlight) and Issigeac. We'll definitely be returning to the area and wouldn't hesitate to book Gite de la Salagre again. Best wishes Serge et Beatrice

An absolute gem
We stayed for two weeks and had the most fabulous time. The house is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. The kitchen is well stocked and many extras were included such as coffee and tea to get you started. The swimming pool is just perfect with sun beds and umbrellas. The gardens are also beautiful and so very well looked after. We had daily games of table tennis, badminton and pétanque. Serge and Beatrice were the perfect hosts - making sure the swimming pool was perfect for us every morning. The gifts of tarts, jam and wine were so thoughtful and very delicious. We had great fun conversing with Serge and Beatrice and managed quite well even though my French is almost non existent. This was a perfect holiday for us and hope to return. Thank you. Fabulous property in a beautiful setting.
This is a beautiful house in a stunning location. The garden and pool area are beautiful. The town of Bergerac is a 15 minute drive away and is a beautiful town, Serge and Beatrice are so nice and extremely helpful and available if any thing is needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and hope to return.

Incredible stay with incredible owners
Where to start....... The whole stay with Serge & Beatrice was incredible!!! all the way from booking to leaving the property on the last day, both Serge & Beatrice couldn't do anymore for you. From welcoming us on the first day with open arms with a tart, a bowel full of cherries and a fantastic bottle of wine, this was bliss. The house is located at the edge of a local vine yard (serge arranged a trip for us which was fantastic to see), and is in such a quiet beautiful part of the Dordogne. I have travelled to the area many times before but Gite de la Salagre blew me away with how quiet and beautiful it was. The house itself is the only property located on the lane, so as you can imagine, unspoilt Beaty all around. The property was absolutely fantastic, Serge explained everything out as best he could with my French being a little rusty but we managed to communicate extremely well. even though Serge & Beatire live next door, they were on hand when required and never intruded on you at all. the property is extremely well presented, kept in a beautiful clean manner and has left me with a very good impression The property is great for families with small children. with there being a huge garden, the pool is segregated by hedges and bushes so cannot be seen from the grass or bbq area and gives you the security that no wondering children will find the pool on their own. Three great sized double bedrooms upstairs with lounge kitchen and dining area down stairs. there is also a washing machine, that you can get the essentials washed if need be. The property is located about 15 minutes from Bergerac airport and centre and is about 10 minutes to the nearest supermarket (E'Leclerc). Overall, we enjoyed our stay that much with Serge & Beatrice that we are looking to book again for in a few years time! Lovely hosts and great position.
Great position in a lovely setting amongst the vineyards. Quiet, yet only 15 minutes from Bergerac, and well placed for visiting many attractions both cultural and fun. The hosts Beatrice and Serge are super, around if required but never intrusive. Facilities are great to keep you occupied if staying around the gite, the swimming pool and surrounds are first class. We really enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous stay in Pomport
Serge and Bea are the perfect hosts. Serge bought us tarts he had made, wine and vegetables he had grown - very kind. Their home is very comfortable and the pool and garden are fantastic. The area around Bergerac has many beautiful villages to visit, excellent restaurants (Serge and Bea can advise) and of course superb vineyards to visit. Would like to return in future. Fabulous place to stay

A little gem!
Where do I begin, pre holiday the response to all my questions were quick from Serge. He was very kind offering to pick my parents up from Bergerac airport and agreed to lend the bikes to them to go off for the day until the 4pm check in time. My parents arrived early on a leeds Bradford flight and they soon learnt taxis do not hang around the airport, luckily they flagged one down. On arrival the house was ready so no need to go off on the bikes. Serge kindly offered to drop them in Bergerac but they decided to stay round the pool as the weather was beautiful. Once we arrived Serge greeted us with a tart he had made and during the holiday dropped off fresh strawberries, cherries and homemade strawberry jam. So kind and thoughtful. The house is immaculately clean and so is the garden and pool area. The grounds are fully gated making it secure for dogs and children. Lots of games for you to use in the garden ping pong, badminton, football goal, French boules and a selection of board games in the house. The bikes were handy for going to the local boulangerie and for short rides out. I think if you stay here you definitely need to get a car to get about. The place doesn't have a bath which didn't affect us as we bathed our 9month old in the sink and we were more than happy with the 2 showers. We will definitely be coming back here as it's in a very good location and Serge & Beatrice are wonderful hosts.

Perfect in every way
What a fabulous two weeks we had in this lovely house!. The property was very clean and well furnished plenty of extras like bikes and table tennis, badminton racquets and games, along with extremely helpful hosts Serge and Beatrice who were wonderful - we were welcomed with a bottle of the local montbazillac wine and Serge had baked a home made plum tart which was delicious.. and another appeared when my son and his girlfriend arrived! The pool was wonderful and very well maintained by Serge, with first class sunbeds etc and a hammock! We did spend most of our time outside as the weather was just glorious and ate on the lovely terrace..perfect, ..we will definitely return. Bergerac has so much to offer and this was a perfect location just a short drive away from the Chateau de Montbazillac. Sarlat and Saint Emilion were highlights, plus a wonderful meal at 'La tour des vents' thank you Serge and Beatrice!

Séjour réussi dans un gîte de grande qualité
Nous avons passé Noël en famille dans le gîte de la Salagre. Tant l'accueil des propriétaires que l'emplacement, la qualité du gîte (chambres à l'étage, équipement, jardin extérieur...) mais également l'accueil des propriétaires ont contribué à la réussite du Noël en famille. Nous avons également pu faire la visite très intéressante d'un domaine viticole proche du gîte.

Een heerlijke vakantie tussen de wijngaarden
Een fijne gîte met alle comfort, met een fantastisch zwembad, omgeven door een grote en mooie tuin. Heel rustig gelegen, tussen de wijngaarden. Een fantastische streek, dichtbij Bergerac en historische dorpen. Het kasteel van Monbazillac ligt vlakbij. Supervriendelijke en warme gastheer Serge en gastvrouw Béatrice die de privacy respecteren maar tot en met behulpzaam zijn. Dank voor de warme ontvangst, de onverwachte en lekkere proevertjes en de onvergetelijke soirée gourmande op het wijndomein. Zeker en vast tot ziens, Ronny, Danny, Nina, Ines en Ushi.

Juweeltje in de wijngaarden
Een heerlijk pareltje midden in de wijngaarden van de Dordogne. Serge en Beatrice zorgen dat alles perfect in orde is en zijn bijzonder vriendelijk en gastvrij. De gite is perfect voor 6 mensen, met daarbij de fantastisch mooi onderhouden tuin, zwembad en zaken van vermaak als jeudeboules, fietsen en pingpong tot je beschikking. Lasalagre ligt wel ietwat afgelegen, winkels zijn makkelijk bereikbaar maar met auto of fiets. Wijn proeven binnen kan wel op loopafstand en mooie steden als Bergerac, St Emilion, Eymet e.d. zijn prachtig om te bezoeken. Genoten!

très propre aussi bien l'intérieur de la maison mais aussi les extérieurs. Très belle piscine avec son décor de palmiers, de fleurs. Magnifique. Propriétaires charmants, toujours à l'écoute de leurs hôtes.

Excellent séjour
La propriété est très agréable et très bien entretenue. L’espace piscine est magnifique avec tout le nécessaire pour que chacun y trouve sa place. Le jardin est très grand et très beau. Table de ping-pong, terrain de pétanque, filet pour volley-ball contribuent au plaisir des vacances Des VTT sont à disposition pour découvrir les environs La maison est également très bien équipée avec trois belles chambres agréables. Les chiens sont autorisés ce qui nous a permis d’emmener le notre en toute sécurité, le jardin étant bien clôturé et l’espace piscine délimité par un portillon La propriété est au milieu des vignes avec balades possibles tout autour. À proximité de Bergerac, Montbazillac … Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec des propriétaires charmants et discrets , et un petit cadeau d’arrivée bien sympathique.

Nous avons passé 2 semaines de rêve: accueil au top avec des petites attentions et des hôtes super agréables, discrets si on ne les sollicite pas mais très disponibles en cas de besoin. Le logement est très bien agencé, le cadre est idyllique, de quoi se ressourcer dans un calme appréciable. De nombreuses activités mises à disposition: ping-pong, volley, pétanque, badminton, vélos Espace piscine accessible à toute heure Bien situé avec de nombreux sites à visiter dans les alentours Notre chien a été accepté sans soucis et a pu disposer d'un parc clôturé Nous y retournerons sans aucun doute! Très bon séjour
Nous avons passé une belle semaine de vacances en famille. La maison est très agréable, avec un grand et beau jardin et une belle piscine. Le tout au calme avec vue sur les vignes. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et sympathiques. Il y a beaucoup d'activités à faire avec les enfants. Vivement recommandé.

Du gîte où il ne manque absolument rien aux propriétaires adorables, attentionnés tout en restant discrets, en passant par la piscine dans son jardin paysagé aux magnifiques paysages alentour, sans compter la multitude de choses à voir, à faire, à déguster. Bref, on a adoré.

Accueil vraiment très sincère et chaleureux ! Hôtes aux petits soins, disponibles mais très discrets. La maison est ses extérieurs sont au top du top !! Nous avons passé une vraie semaine de vacances, site exceptionnel et prestations ( location) haut de gamme ! L'immense jardin clôturé, le magnifique jardin , l'espace piscine joliment arboré ( on se croirait presque sur une île lointaine )...Bref...que du bonheur !! A refaire ! Encore merci à vous
