The property has been furnished with exceptional taste and attention to detail. Outside there is a large, well-tended garden with a beautiful pool with panoramic views. The villa, equipped with all comforts, is composed of a main house and guest house, sleeping a total of up to 12 people. The property is surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, from which the owners produce wine and olive oil (guests will be offered a tasting in the estate's cellars). The house's central location is convenient for visiting Tuscany's most important places of interest such as Siena, Florence, San Gimignano and the entire Chianti area with its characteristic villages (Castellina, Greve, Radda, Gaiole, etc.). Access to the house is via an unpaved road in good condition. At guests disposal: large, well-tended garden with round pool reserved for guests' exclusive use (about 16 x 11 m- minimum depth 50 cm- maximum depth 1,4 m- open from 01/04 to 30/10), outdoor shower (hot water), changing room and wc in the pool area, barbecue, gazebo and wood-burning oven. Family of 12 went and was wonderful. The whole place is brilliant. One villa with 5 rooms and a separate 2 bedroom villa. Views are breathless. Location is good and easy access to pretty much everywhere. We went to Florence, Siena and numerous medieval villages all easily within an hours drive. We will be back. We went last week of May and unfortunately weather wasn’t great and rained but didn’t put us off site seeing. The place is so good that if it were sunny all the time we wouldn’t have wanted to leave the amazing swimming pool. The owners have a real gem here and the wine they make on the vineyard is very good. ##### david h. Archival ### 8/10 Good 24 Nov 2017 #### Review for stay from 04 November 2017 to 18 November 2017 There are a lot of good things to say about the Villa Ferdinando ... it is in a beautiful hilltop location among olive tree orchards and vineyards. The property is very large - about 28 hectares of which about 12 are used for olive oil and wine production. The villa itself features 5 bedrooms in the main house and another in the guest house. We were 12 people and it worked out just fine. The kitchen is usable and well equipped. There are local property managers available to answer questions and resolve any issues. They were friendly and helpful. The villa was renovated for tourism about 4 years ago so the appointments (shower heads, sinks, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.) are all fairly new. Driving instructions to reach the property were not specific enough. The property is isolated down a dirt road leading to another dirt road. Trying to reach there initially was challenging. There were several large grocery stores to chose from for food supplies. Prices were reasonable. Bank ATMs in Poggibonsi are few and far between. If you need cash then it is recommended to pick some up at one of the destination towns around the area. We wasted nearly 2 hours trying to find a bank or ATM in PG and never did. It isn't really a tourist town. Make sure and understand all the financial terms of your stay including the mandatory cleaning fee. Check your voucher carefully. I did not and was disappointed to find myself responsible for an additional 400 Euros that were not listed on the voucher for cleaning. House is beautifully decorated and incredibly well situated for touring Tuscany. Owners and support staff are incredibly nice and very attentive. They go above and beyond--very willing to help with anything that you need. Be sure to ask about their food shopping service and the chef--as both are well worth the money. Both of these things made arrival incredibly easy. Also, they will give you a tour of the vineyard if you ask which is lots of fun for all. House is beautifully decorated and incredibly well situated for touring Tuscany. Owners and support staff are incredibly nice and very attentive. They go above and beyond--very willing to help with anything that you need. Be sure to ask about their food shopping service and the chef--as both are well worth the money. Both of these things made arrival incredibly easy. Also, they will give you a tour of the vineyard if you ask which is lots of fun for all. Hidden on hillside in the middle of olive trees. All rooms with it's own style, everything is clean and new. All rooms with air condition. Renter produces it's own wine with fantastic taste and a grandiose olive oil. The renters crew is very obliging and helpfull from shopping sites to restaurants all over to technical issues. Gorgeous pool with a great view from inside the pool to the surrounding area and San Gimignano. Absolute recommendable for great holidays. ##### Jens B. ---
