Nestled in a beautiful quiet Devon village with a renowned local pub and superb sandy beaches, both within walking distance. The Ridges enjoys far reaching views over rolling countryside towards Cornwall and The Rame Peninsula. Don’t forget to take advantage of the property’s enviable position to enjoy the spectacular sunsets each evening, perhaps with a sundowner on the balcony.
The Ridges sits on a large and private plot where you will discover a multi-level designed south facing garden with plenty of space, so it’s the perfect place for alfresco dining and family barbecues, with an array of seating areas to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace, views and nature that surrounds you. Under the Olive Tree you will discover the hot tub, providing added luxury and indulgence to while away the time, with maybe a bit of stargazing. Entering the home, you are greeted by an impressive spacious hallway leading to the open plan living area offers a welcoming place with soft leather sofas, a velvet swivel snuggle chair and floating log burner, where you can rest, unwind and enjoy the garden views through stunning large dual aspect bifold doors opening up to bring the outside in, with just a few steps to the hot tub! Enjoy meals together in the dining space, where the large oak dining table comfortably seats 8. A Smart TV including Sky, and a SONOS music system is provided for your entertainment. Leading into the impressive designer kitchen, you will enjoy cooking and entertaining with high end, branded appliances, including a 5-zone induction hob, a built in SMEG Dolce Nuovo oven, a microwave oven with warming drawer and a larder fridge. The separate larder freezer is in the utility along with a washing machine to keep on top of the spa and beach towels. For your convenience there is a built-in dishwasher and a 1 1/2 bowl sink with an instant hot water tap. Also on offer is a luxury central stone and oak island boasting a wine fridge and features sumptuous fluffy sheepskin bar stools for 6 guests. This is the perfect place to open a bottle of wine and keep the chef company while a delicious meal is being prepared. Patio doors open to the enclosed south facing patio and garden and to the BBQ area.
After a lovely country walk or a day at the beach you have the convenience of entering the house through the utility/ boot room, providing ample storage space for your walking boots and if you want to freshen up straight out of that wetsuit or beachwear you can walk straight into the Jack & Jill downstairs bathroom with shower, sink and WC. The oak and glass staircase, with feature pin lighting leads to the attractive galleried landing with large windows to the front of the property, feature pendant and oak doors to the bedrooms. The Master Suite is situated at the rear of the property, south facing with dual aspect windows and its own private balcony looking out over stunning views of fields and Cornwall in the distance, with incredible sunsets. All you can see is the fabulous countryside and wildlife. What a wonderful "away -from- it -all" feeling you will enjoy!
The Master Suite includes a walk-in wardrobe, vaulted ceiling with exposed oak beams, and a designer king size bed with the comfort of a sumptuous Vi Spring mattress. The en suite bathroom features a freestanding dual ended bath, large shower, WC, double sink and an illuminated demist mirror, plus towel rail.
Bedroom Two is also situated to the rear of the property, south facing, with a king size bed and Tempur mattress. Featuring both Velux windows and a Juliet balcony to enjoy the far-reaching countryside views, plus a flat screen smart TV for those lazy mornings. The en suite is decorated in the most beautiful feature tiles and includes a shower, WC and a vanity sink unit with illuminated demist mirror and towel rail.
Bedroom Three faces the front of the house, this double bedroom enjoys the morning sun and shares a Jack & Jill en suite with Bedroom Four. Both rooms are spacious and have flat screen smart TV’s. The Jack & Jill en suite features a curved wall in the shower with stone and glass feature tiles, WC, vanity unit with illuminated demist mirror and towel rail.
A bath sheet, a hot tub and a hand towel are provided for each guest, plus hairdryers for you to use.
There is a large block-paved drive way, with ample parking for 4 cars and plenty of areas to keep your bikes, boards or anything else you may bring on your break.
