There were 5 of us in total, all family. Renting a home in Mt Washington was not even on the radar initially, our plan was a hotel downtown, but no go when the Steelers are playing at home. To say we are glad we did would be a huge understatement. It added so much to the experience. The house is in a great location, a very short walk to Grandview Ave and spectacular views overlooking the city. About 0.4 miles to the Duquesne Incline (albeit very hilly) and a little longer walk to the Monongahela incline, but still doable. The house is an a very old neighborhood, typical for many areas in and around Pittsburgh, however the interior has been completely updated and is very lovely and comfortable. A few highlights: 1\. Communication with Nicole was superb. She was ultra timely, professional and very thorough, as good as it gets in our experience. 2\. Furnishings and supplies in the house were well thought out from a renter's perspective, including things like spices, coffee, paper towels, toilet tissue, hand and bath towels, bedding, and plenty of pillows on the beds and in the living room. 4\. Check out was simple and straightforward. A final note. Mt. Washington is extremely hilly, almost crazy hilly. But don't let that deter you, the location is the best. Jay: Blue Haven Property was exactly as advertised. We had a great stay just outside of the down town area. A short drive/uber ride away from the heart of the city. Nicole was a gracious host, easy to get ahold of, and offered great recommendations. John: Pittsburgh trip Wonderful place to stay. Clean and well stocked with essentials. Excellent communication between us and the owners. Great location, easy to get to the events and sightseeing that we were doing. Easy drive from the airport. I would highly recommend this property THE SPACE \*\*Kitchen\*\* The kitchen is fully stocked. This includes a gas stove, dishwasher, oven, Keurig coffee machine, kettle, and all the cookware and tableware required to prepare a gourmet meal. There are 2 dining tables, and four people can be seated at each table. \*\*Living Room\*\* Savor unwinding on the cozy couches as you watch your preferred series on the high-definition smart TV featuring Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and other services (Please note-access to these streaming services are not provided, you will have to log-in using your own account.). This is the ideal location for guests to sit back, relax, and spend time with friends and family. \*\*Bedrooms 1 & 2\*\* Bedrooms 1 and 2 each have a deluxe king-sized bed with premium bedding. There is a nightstand with a lamp in each bedroom. Additionally, dressers are provided so that visitors can store their clothes there. \*\*Bedroom 3\*\* Bedroom 3 features a queen-sized mattress with comfortable linens and pillows. A nightstand and a dresser for storing clothes are also included in Bedroom 3\. \*\*Bathroom\*\* The large, fully equipped bathroom has a shower and a bathtub and was recently renovated with a modern aesthetic. Use the hair dryer, body wash, conditioner, shampoo, and premium towels that are provided, along with the personal care products. \*\*Laundry\*\* A washer and dryer are located in the basement available for guests to use at no additional cost. \*\*Outdoor Space\*\* Guests have access to a shared concrete backyard area that is the ideal place for dogs to relieve themselves. All of the rooms were very spacious and clean, and the location was great! Nicole was very easy to communicate with. We had a great stay just outside of the down town area. A short drive/uber ride away from the heart of the city. The interior is absolutely beautiful, fully updated, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. Everything was provided—chocolates, coffee, paper towels, toilet paper, towels, bedding, and plenty of cozy pillows. Communication with the host was excellent, always prompt and professional. Nice kitchen and appliances with plenty of other amenities. Bedrooms were comfortable, spacious and clean. Great updated bathroom with plenty of hot water. Communication with the host was efficient. The location of the place is perfect for plans centering around downtown. The place is newly renovated in an older neighborhood. Parking is challenge in the area but there is a parking pad at the back door. The beds were super comfy and helped us get a good night’s sleep. The host was super easy to communicate with and also was proactive to let us know the AC was being worked on before we arrived. The location is on Mt. Washington and there are Walkable eateries and great views to be had close by. The property interior looks exactly like the photographs and was clean and spacious. Our family is largely outgrowing hotels as our kids get bigger and this allowed everyone more room to sprawl out. Each bedroom is larger and comfortable. The living area is cute and my kids loved playing a game. We were grateful to find a couple of unexpected additions such as toothbrushes as my boys forgot theirs! The kitchen had everything we needed to fix light lunches and breakfasts and reheat leftovers. Check-in was easy and went as expected. Thank you so much for having us! ##### Nicole R. The property was not described accurately and I was unable to access the property. I’m still dealing with VRBO to receive my refund. Quite honestly this property should not be listed to rent out. The owner refused to refund my money even though I was unable to access the property and many deficiencies at the property and misleading pictures and lies. It had 3 spacious bedrooms with plenty of closet and dresser space. The kitchen had all modern conveniences. We cooked several times and had all the utensils, bowls, pots and pans you could ask for. The bathroom was spacious and loved that all rooms were on the same level. It was perfect for my handicapped mother in law to get around with her walker. The back entrance was just two steps to get to the unit. The apartment was very clean and fresh looking. We brought our dog and found there were dog bowls and a dog bed if we wanted for him. Felt very safe taking our pup for walks in the neighborhood. Nicole was very responsive when we had an issue with the AC. Turned out to be a circuit breaker issue that was quickly fixed. Stayed 3 nights in Jul 2024 ### 10/10 Excellent #### BILL M. 27 Sept 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### A 5 Star Experience We were in Pittsburgh primarily for a Steelers game, but also to re-visit our old stomping grounds in Allison Park (north suburb), where we lived years ago when I started my engineering career with USS corp. There were 5 of us in total, all family. Renting a home in Mt Washington was not even on the radar initially, our plan was a hotel downtown, but no go when the Steelers are playing at home. To say we are glad we did would be a huge understatement. It added so much to the experience. The house is in a great location, a very short walk to Grandview Ave and spectacular views overlooking the city. About 0.4 miles to the Duquesne Incline (albeit very hilly) and a little longer walk to the Monongahela incline, but still doable. The house is an a very old neighborhood, typical for many areas in and around Pittsburgh, however the interior has been completely updated and is very lovely and comfortable. A few highlights: 1\. Communication with Nicole was superb. She was ultra timely, professional and very thorough, as good as it gets in our experience. 2\. Furnishings and supplies in the house were well thought out from a renter's perspective, including things like spices, coffee, paper towels, toilet tissue, hand and bath towels, bedding, and plenty of pillows on the beds and in the living room. 4\. Check out was simple and straightforward. A final note. Mt. Washington is extremely hilly, almost crazy hilly. But don't let that deter you, the location is the best. ##### BILL M.
