Upon entering our two-story home through the private front door, you'll step into the dining area, which features the dining table + desk. Through the dining area you'll find the spacious kitchen, along with the laundry area + full bathroom. Going upstairs, you'll enter the living room at the top of the stairs. From here, straight ahead is the large bedroom with a king bed. There is a loft area up the ladder that is unused & for storage only. Note that the entire property has an open, spacious feeling, with the only door being on the bathroom. The entire property is accessible to our guests. Note that the back door / courtyard area is deadbolted, and is only accessible as an emergency exit. Originally called Buena Vista, the streets in the area were named after various Mexican War people & places, and most of the homes in the area are from the 1800s! Mattress Factory Museum, Randyland, great coffee shops, restaurants, and a handful of bars call the War Streets home. Plus, you're an easy walk to North Shore attractions like PNC Park, Acrisure Stadium (let's be real, it'll always be Heinz Field), and all of the bars & restaurants of the North Shore. A super safe & family friendly area, it feels more like a NYC or Boston neighborhood than Pittsburgh - it's one of the most desirable areas of Pittsburgh to live. We recommend using Uber or Lyft to navigate in Pittsburgh. It's a notoriously difficult city to drive in (but we have little traffic!) They're affordable and abundant. If you do choose to drive in the city, we offer free street parking with our included digital parking permit. A minimum $1,000 cleaning fee will be reported if evidence of smoking is found in the home. 2\. People other than those in the Guest party may not stay overnight in the property without prior notice. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. The host has not represented this unit as an event facility, therefore, there is a limit to the number of any visitors at any one time (in addition to registered occupants) of four (4) up to a maximum of ten (6) persons in the property at any given time. At no time may any of these visitors remain overnight or assume any guest privileges whatsoever. 3\. The host is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The host is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premises. 4\. We offer a Chore-Free Checkout, and do not ask our guests to clean prior to check out. However, this does not give permission to leave a mess; cleaning that requires substantially more time than usual due to excessive trash, stains, spills, etc., will be charged to the Guest at $40 per hour. 5\. Late check-outs are not permitted without prior discussion, as our cleaning teams are punctual. Late check outs require additional cleaners to be brought in, and will be charged at $50 in half hour increments. 6\. If Guest cancels the trip past the cancellation window deadline, Host is willing to refund if any dates are rebooked. This refund is provided only above and beyond the cancellation amount, up to a full refund. Hosts understand plans can change, and don't believe in "double-dipping" if Guest nights are able to be rebooked. 7\. There is no daily housekeeping service. The property has been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival; linens, bath towels, toiletries, and more are included in the stay. Additional supplies or mid-stay cleanings are available for additional cost. 8\. While we love our furry friends, pets are not permitted, as many guests have sensitivities. A deep cleaning fee of $300 will be charged if clear evidence is found. 9\. Very clean with up to date appliances including a washer/dryer. The bed was comfy. Our host checked in multiple times to make sure everything was OK. Everything in it was new looking and freshly painted. I liked the somewhat industrial loft style. The kitchen was nice, we cooked a fair amount of food in it. The location is great, for me especially that is was close to my daughter's apartment, who we were visiting. Definitely walkable to all the stadiums and downtown, Walking distance to a big grocery store. Also need the train and bus lines. Close enough for easy access to downtown, but far enough away from the truly gritty areas to feel safe. The nearby park was great for strolling and jogging, especially with lots of spring flowers in bloom. It also features the aviary and some large historic buildings in the park. The Mexican War Streets neighborhood is very quaint and historic. Lots of interesting 1800's architecture. Reminds me a lot of the older neighborhoods in Boston. I would recommend it as a good place for couple to stay, it's got a big comfy bed. Maybe good for one kid as well who could sleep on the sofa. It has street level access, but it does have a fairly steep set of stairs to get up to the bedroom and living room. Not really a problem unless you have mobility issues. I would stay there agin if I was going back to Pittsburgh. ##### Richard V.
