"The room was cute. It seemed like it would be a good first studio apartment for someone just starting out.
The bed was on a wooden frame. No box spring. Despite the thickness of the mattress, it was not as soft as I would have preferred.
There was a mini fridge and a microwave. However the microwave was placed in a cabinet on the lowest shelf. For travelers who are fit and trim, I'm sure this would be fine. I am not fit and trim nor young. Kneeling on the floor was not enjoyable.
The TV in the room was confusing to me. I received emails before my arrival that I could watch streaming services with my personal subscriptions. I was pretty confident I could figure it out. Once I got to the room, there was no real explanation of what to do. I also wanted to watch live TV. There was a choice for free channels but when I went to that, all the channel descriptions were empty and I thought it was broken. The next day I realized I could just pick a channel and despite the appearance that they were broken, everything was fine.
The biggest issue was that the elevators are not working. My room was on the 4th floor and I recently had surgery. If I would have known there was no elevator, I would have never booked this place. The sign on the elevator said that the management was trying to address this as soon as possible. I am very skeptical of that.
I chose this place because of its affordable price and its proximity to the VA Hospital. Next time, I will choose differently."
