I reserved a room for Sat+ Sun days on line a month ahead and was assigned the “coach” room (??) I tried to switch for my second night because its location right by the lobby and the open space restaurant is noisier than I asked for but, I couldn’t be accommodated. I give 4 stars because the personnel was amiable and the breakfast buffet (included) was lavish and hearty with numerous varied and fresh options.

The room was clean and looked new. The staff were fine—friendly enough. However, the breakfast was disappointing. The food quality was poor, with limited options compared to other hotels. Overall, the breakfast felt cheap and was the biggest letdown of my stay.

They gave me the very first room off the lobby, so I felt my privacy was a concern. Also around midnight while I was sleeping, the photo above the bed came crashing down, scaring the crap out of me. Luckily it didn’t fall on me. The coffee was pretty good though.

The building on the whole is showing some age. The rooms are lovely, clean and well furnished. (lamps could use replacing, simply to make internet and other electronics more efficient.) The staff was wonderful. Cheerful, helpful,lacking the too often disengaged attitude a guest encounters. These are nice people, eager to help, and it was a pleasure to stay at this Holiday Inn.
