Originally built in the early 1900s, the property recently underwent a full renovation which preserved it's character & charm, but added wonderful modern amenities. Located in one of the best locations in Pittsburgh, just a short walk to the Southside Strip. The property has a lovely outdoor patio with furniture and grill. It's a wonderful property for traveling business partners who want space, families, and small groups alike THE SPACE: Wonderfully charming 5bedroom/2bath home with open concept living/dining/kitchen and large outdoor space w/grill and outdoor furniture. Plenty of room for the group to spread out and relax. Private garage parking for 1 vehicle, and additional space available for a 2nd vehicle if needed. No expense was sparred to make sure you enjoy your stay and feel at home. Perfect location just a short walk off the Southside strip with ample shops/bars/cafes/restaurants, while being just far away enough to make sure the property is quiet and peaceful at night. LAYOUT: 1st Floor: 1x bedroom (full sized bed ) with decorative fireplace ; kitchen ; living ; dining ; garage ; outdoor patio 2nd Floor: 3x bedrooms (1 with king ; 2x with queen) + 2x bathrooms ; W/D 3rd Floor: loft style bedroom king bed NEIGHBORHOOD: Central location with easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer! The neighborhood is a wonderful combination of families, early 30's, and even college students. Only 2 blocks off the strip, bountiful bars/restaurants/cafes/shops are within a short walk. The Southside, in general, is a staple of Pittsburgh. 100 years ago most of the Southside was steel mills. You can still see fragments of the mills at the Hot Metal Bridge and various pieces along the bike/walking path next to the river. Carson Street is a combination of bars, cafes, and quality restaurants. Down towards the end of the SouthSide is The Southside Works, which is a great, family-friendly, newer part of the city where the American Eagle Headquarters resides. Overall, this is an ideal location with easy access to everything Pittsburgh has to offer! Southside Strip - Carson St - (4 blocks!) Otherwise well situated. Of course parking is a bit of a challenge with more than 2 cars, but understand it's just how it is. We figured it out. ##### Patti B. After leaving, the host of the house charged me extra for a pet fee, claiming that she found pet hair, for which I responded we did not bring any pets. She then claimed it was due to “extra cleaning” for a few pieces of large sized glitter that was missed. I already paid a cleaning fee (and an additional guest fee even though we were at the allotted number of guests listed), and felt as though I shouldn’t have to pay anything additional, since the cleaning was clearly not done from the previous tenant. Unfortunately VRBO customer service was unable to assist and my card was charged. Avoid the headache and do not book. ##### Melissa W. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was in a great location on South Side near all the bars and restaurants. The home itself is very clean and spacious, and the neighbors were very friendly! Fun sitting outside at night. Stairs were a little steep. Bedrooms were very spacious.
