"Room full of dust. Toilet dirty. Complained re this. When we went back to the room toilet still dirty. Went to the reception and got cleaning products an cleaned it ourselves. "

"Visited Birchwood Pitlochry for a cycle sportive. The hosts were very friendly, 5am breakfast made available for participants in the sportive. Birchwood Pitlochry is a fantastic place to stay, close to the town centre and a walking distance to the town centre."

"A busy lively hotel. We stayed for the etape Caledonia cycle. The hotel was very proactive and offered a takeaway breakfast and bicycle storage. Although the hotel had live music and a good atmosphere, our room was quiet and peaceful despite being directly above the bar. We had dinner in the bar and the venison burgers were delicious.The staff were very competent and friendly. Will definitely return to McKays!"

"Lovely location and beautiful room with modern appointments and quality tea/ coffee/ toiletries etc. Convenient location for the highlands with things to see and do from the doorstep. The only let down was the breakfast which took almost an hour to arrive after ordering, which sadly took the shine off an otherwise excellent stay. However, the management were very apologetic, so it would appear we were just unlucky on that occasion."
