"We loved this hotel. The staff was amazingly nice and cordial. We would definitely stay here again if given the chance. Close to many attractions and the convenience of the restaurant was top tier."

"Great motorsport themed hotel in a slightly quirky setting but for a one night stay with the dogs we loved it. Nice breakfast in the morning with very friendly staff."

"The reason for the terrible rating is - No meal at the Hotel so I ask the reception where I could eat, they pointed me in the direction of a local bar. Had something to eat there at 21:00hrs and by 23:00hrs I was having terrible stomach pains. (before eating at this bar I had had a continental breakfast before leaving the ship at Bilbao)
By 02:00hrs diahorrea makes an appearance. There was no staff at the Hotel that I could call and I was too worried about leaving my room. So no help during the...

"Really well located for the city centre attractions and also if you're staying with your pet dog as the main park is over the road from the hotel and it has a specific dog area.
The rooms are clean, but the air-conditioning was very inefficient!
Plenty of choice at the continental breakfast."

Unique and interesting decor. Very dog friendly and the breakfast was great. There's a lovely Italian restaurant (pizza pizza) just down the road (not open on a Monday though). We stayed at this hotel in the way to Portugal in March and in the way back to the UK in May and we were certainly happy to visit a second time.

We drove down from Santander stopping off at the Aparthotel Casablanca before driving on down to the Algarve the next morning. We wanted something cheap and cheerful to rest our heads for a few hours - complete with dog. What a delightful surprise this little place is! Very friendly, helpful owner, excellent facilities - not a room but a suite complete with a balcony that wrapped around half the hotel!!! Massive king size cosy bed, very clean bathroom with plenty of towels - considering the...

A little further out of town than we realised, but friendly staff ordered a Taxi which came within 5 minutes & cost 8 Euros into the centre of Salamanca.
we dined in the Hotel restaurant one night, & were very impressed with the fresh & tasty ‘menu’ of the day!

I can barely fault this hotel,
! Immauculate inside, tasteful yet simple rooms, friendly staff and reasonably priced.
Located a little out of city but if your looking for value for money this is definitely the one.
Thank you for a great stay.

Our fourth visit.
Great value, great food, comfortable rooms, friendly team, good parking, easy to locate in a quiet place not far from the main road if travelling, and also very dog friendly.

A small, friendly hotel in a great central location. The set up is more like a studio apartment (has a kitchenette), it's very clean and the layout is well thought out.
We were a family of two adults and two children. There was a comfy double bed and two large singles that pulled down from the wall. The bathroom was modern with a shower enclosure. We also had a small terrace overlooking the pretty square in front of the hotel. The room was comfortable and roomy enough for a few days....

We couldn't fault this hotel apart from a couple of cleaning issues. We were given a deluxe room and it was huge! Bed was really comfortable and we had the best night sleep in ages. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed with my dog on a journey from the ferry in Bilbao to Portugal. Was so good I booked the hotel for the homeward journey. Beautiful building, great location and excellent staff. Treats and toy provided for my pet so she gives it a thumbs up too :-)

First time we’ve been to Salamanca. When we’re looking for property it’s about outdoor space, location, amenities including air conditioning and price.
We stayed in Andito 8 a one bedroom apartment on the top floor. The private terrace is huge. The location was perfect only a 5 min walk or so from the centre.
For those with restricted mobility irate worried about carrying suitcases up don’t worry. There’s a lift that takes you to your front door.

The best area to stay in Pitiegua is within the village itself, particularly around the central plaza and the area immediately surrounding the Iglesia de San Juan Bautista.
Pitiegua is a small, traditional Spanish village, so the "best area" essentially refers to its core. The village centre is characterised by its historic church, the Iglesia de San Juan Bautista, which often serves as a focal point. You'll find a few local amenities like a small general store or a bar near here. The streets are generally narrow and winding, with traditional stone houses.
Couples looking for a quiet retreat will find the village centre appealing. It offers a chance to experience authentic rural Spanish life, with peaceful evenings and the opportunity for leisurely strolls through the village and surrounding countryside. It's a great base for exploring the local area at a relaxed pace.
For families, staying within the village provides a calm and manageable environment. Children can enjoy the open spaces and the sense of community.
When is the best time to go to Pitiegua?
The best time to visit Pitiegua is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.
During these periods, the weather is pleasantly mild, with comfortable temperatures that are ideal for exploring the Castilian countryside and enjoying outdoor activities. Spring brings blooming wildflowers and lush green landscapes, while autumn offers beautiful colours as the leaves change, along with local harvest festivals.
Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil escape will find these seasons particularly appealing. The gentle weather allows for leisurely strolls through the historic villages nearby or scenic drives through the picturesque fields, perhaps stopping at local vineyards for a tasting.
Solo travellers seeking a peaceful and reflective trip will also appreciate the calm atmosphere of Pitiegua in spring or autumn.
