Paper thin walls

Posted 31-Oct-2016
Pros: The staff was friendly, the reception and check-in quick, the breakfast generous. The amenities were nice
Cons: Unfortunately the conversations from the next door left us very disturbed. The walls between the rooms must be paper thin.
Location: Wonderful old city of Pistoia. We were there on a Sunday, couldn't visit the church or the famous silver altar.

Relaxing Hotel 1 mile from Pistoia.

Posted 23-Jul-2016 on Hotels
Good Hotel, that's a 1.6 km from Pistoia centre, but has its own pool and restaurant facilities so you have everything at the hotel, the buffet breakfast was good but the wifi was only OK in the room but available at the pool area. The hotel provides a free shuttle bus into town which is needed if you don't have a car and there's free parking.

Relaxing Hotel

Posted 08-Jun-2016
Pros: Comfort, balcony, very nice bathroom, location in Tuscany.
Location: We toured the local countryside - specifically, the area of the "10 Castles" around Pescia. So this was a nice "base" for us for a few days.
Very nice hotel. Room was comfortable. Shower was Excellent !! Nice dining room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And they gave us a "free upgrade" on our room.

Hotel was great although the location was inconvenient and a little far from the centre of town (about 25 mins walking). The food at the onsite restaurant was some of the best we had in Italy. Highly recommend if you stay at Villa Cappugi.

Pros: The Restaurant is excellent. I stayed there 5 years ago and the Restaurant is still excellent (
Cons: Make clear when facilities e.g. the swimming pool shuts for the winter when accepting advance bookings -disappointinmg was not avaible during our stay
Location: Great location to visit and explore Pistoia town and to visit other tons like Florence, Lucca etc.

Excellent alternative to staying in Florence

Posted 26-Jun-2015
Pros: Staff, room and excellent breakfast included in rate.
Cons: It is a bid outdated, but it goes with the charm of the town.
Location: see above
chose this hotel to avoid staying inside Florence and it was the right decision. 1 hour from Pisa and just 30 mins from downtown Florence, this was like having a little home on our trip. Excellent staff and nice hotel in a very traditional Italian town with less tourists, great trattorias and views of Tuscany.
