Hill Country Hideout · Bring the Horses

The Hill Country Hideout is a few miles east of Pipe Creek, on open, private land with access to ten acres. Miles of paved roads wind through the hills nearby, which makes it a good base for motorcycles too.



The cabin is one bedroom with a queen bed, sized for two, with a rollaway for a third guest. There is a living room with two couches, a dining table and a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and a coffee maker but no oven. Satellite TV, fiber Wi-Fi, good cell service, heat and air, and a washer and dryer are all here, and linens are provided.



Out back, a shaded deck has a table and chairs and looks over the land. There is a picnic table under the trees and a charcoal grill, and farther back a stone fire pit. Five bundles of firewood are included, and more are available.



Horses can come along. There is a private 40-foot round pen and a 75 by 130 foot arena, both with sand floors, a four-acre turnout and stalls, plus free trailer parking. Up to two horses are boarded for a nightly fee with a two-night minimum; owners supply feed and hay and clean the stalls, water is provided, and a negative Coggins certificate is required. A vet is within four miles, and an RV hookup is available for an added fee.



Early check-in may be available on request. Every stay includes the Texas Hill Country Travel App, a local guide for exploring the area.



WHY WE LIKE IT

We usually suggest the Hideout for people traveling with horses. It has a private arena, a 40-foot round pen, a turnout area and stalls, with trailer parking. It also works well for motorcyclists, with miles of paved Hill Country roads close by. The cabin itself is small and simple, a place for two or three on ten acres.

GOOD TO KNOW

GPS will not bring you to the correct entrance, so print and follow the directions we provide. It gets very dark out here at night.

There is no oven in the kitchen.
