Great location and awesome staff

The hall carpet was clean, new and comfortable, but suggested stained concrete. The room was aesthetically appealing, but functionally was sub par. There was one place to put luggage, but no secondary luggage holder- that you would have to put on the couch. The drapes were inaccessible without climbing on the couch. The toilet was located in a separate enclosure which had nothing else inside- not a shelf nor trash can; and the door to which went only part way up not preventing sounds nor odors from being shared. The shower was in a separate enclosure which, with but a single hook outside. The overhead shower was lovely- if the shock of the water temp didn’t kill you when you put it on. And anyone under 175 cm couldn’t reach it to redirect it. There was a hand held sprayer, with inconsistent temperature variations and insufficient pressure- it could barely spay a stream of water 30-35 cm upwards. The couch was stained. The front desk help, and restaurant help could be challenging. I appreciate hotel help being multi-lingual, but would expect that in Australia they would be proficient in English. Not always the case- but give them credit for being friendly I neglected to address the room lighting. As the couch had our luggage on it, we created a makeshift make-up table, but the room lighting was woefully inadequate. All in all- rather disappointed.
