The location is great, very close to the ocean, and the place is family-friendly. The staff are attentive and genuinely try to help, although most of them speak very little English, which can make anything beyond a simple request quite difficult. Check-in can also be slow and may easily take around 30 minutes.
The rooms are basic. The essential equipment is just about acceptable, while some of the non-essential furnishings and facilities are in pretty poor condition. I wouldn't expect a Western-style hotel experience here.
That said, if you adjust your expectations and think of it more as a clean, simple hostel-level stay, it can actually be quite enjoyable. The place is generally clean, the location is good, and the staff do their best.
Overall, I left with very mixed feelings.

Great area with lots of restaurants and entertainment. A few blocks from the beach. It’s not upgraded but it is in okay condition. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Door system needs to be updated. You have to often recharge the door key to work.
