Amazing but sort out reception
Amazing hotel, amazing food, great location and gardens / pool area. Restaurant was top notch & waiters very friendly. Service was excellent. Self-service bar was great. Air conditioning good. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing time away with great food. Our only problem was with reception - there was a very nice lady who checked us in but then a pretty useless guy (I think he was called Federico). It wasn't clear if he actually worked at the hotel or not, he spent most of the day sitting on the guest's sofa watching tiktok, didn't clear up any of the glasses and on our last day, he turned up over 30 mins late to work which meant that we couldn't check out properly and had to rush to the airport

Absolutely beautiful and serene setting in nature. Relaxation begins as your greeted by the friendly staff. The accommodations are clean, quiet and comfortable. We really loved The grounds with sparkling pool, expansive lawns, trees, gardens, and flowers of soothing jasmine. Hard to leave, but we will be back. Thank you to all at Borgo dell a Marmotta for your hospitality.

Agriturismo without the agri part.
Agriturismo that isn’t luxurious but comfortable. I asked for the remote to be fixed and they never followed through. The pool area was large and beautiful. I wouldn’t rush back but it was fine for the few days we were there. It’s not a real farm. Service at breakfast was excellent.

Umbrian delight
Lovely, peaceful sanctuary perfectly located close to Spoleto, Trevi and Montefalco. The rooms are well designed and furnished with some great touches. I loved the honour bar concept and deed to the overall homeliness of the place. Just wish we had booked to stay longer.

Overall, this hotel is great. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The staff is super friendly and very professional. A few little things implicated our overall experience but we would stay here again, just know more information to make our next stay even more enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable. Nice size and the bathroom was great. Our room however shared a door with the cleaning room and the cleaning crew would daily need to go in their room for obvious reasons, but we could hear every word and noise they made in there. If you want to take a nap at any point during the day, this would prohibit that. Our biggest disappointment in the room was the bed. We reserved a king bed and had 2 twin beds pushed together. There was no material that closed the gap between the two beds like we have had before in Europe. The hotel was almost near end of season and the restaurant was closed one of the nights we were there and we didn't know. We were going to have dinner there, but didn't know we had to make a reservation. We just thought we could walk-in since we are guests. It was closed. Joseph was so kind to make us a reservation at a restaurant close by. The wait-staff at breakfast was so kind and we really enjoyed being greeted by them in the mornings. Location of hotel was remote, but if you are planning to make day trips to Assisi or Spoleto or even Todi, this location was great. Overall, we had a good experience.

Beautiful rustic farmhouse with lovely grounds, clean and character filled rooms and good breakfast. Great village of Spoleto is a 15 min drive away and has amazing restaurants.

Don't miss this sanctuary
Really a nice spot. Out of the way but close to lots of great spots. Excellent excellent food and wines. Nice pool. Just excellent. Had stayed one week earlier at top ten Castello do Casole in Tuscany and this was comparable. If you are in Umbria this is your spot

Top Notch Resort Style Hotel
Excellent resort style hotel in the middle of countryside. Good sized well maintained pool and poolside facilities. Large garden/orchard area available to all with many well positioned isolated seating places. Rooms are well furnished, clean and comfortable with excellent bathrooms. There is a large communal lounge area with a well stocked 'honesty bar' with wifi access. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Good selection for buffet style breakfast with eggs and bacon available. Reasonably priced restaurant with a reasonable choice on a covered terrace aea.

Excellent friendly place
A lovely warm welcome from Fabio on our arrival. Quiet and peaceful by the pool with excellent sun beds. Really recommend the evening meal of home cooked food, no choice of menu but all tasty traditional and good value. Lots to do in the area.

Under the Umbrian Sun!!!
We celebrated our 10th Anniversary and my husband's 50th Birthday at Borgo della Marmotta in late September. Our stay far exceeded any dream we ever had for a stay in the Italian countryside. From the moment we passed through the gates to Borgo it felt like we were living in a picture from a travel magazine. The property has been impeccably restored to create luxury and yet still retain the integrity and history of the property. Filippo and Alessandra could not be better hosts. They are not just the owners they are the conservators of an amazing holy place. If you have ever dreamed of taking an Under the Tuscan Sun kind of vacation this is the place to stay..

Farmhouse gem outside of Spoleto, Italy
We were so impressed by this lovely, "boutique" farmhouse. We did not have directions to get there from Spoleto so an employee rode his motorcycle into town to meet us and have us follow him there. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms modern, tasteful and comfortable. The farmhouse has a swimming pool and serves a bountiful breakfast. We were sent to a farmhouse about 15 minutes away for an incredible dinner, as our farmhouse restaurants were closed the evening we were staying there (Monday). We would return to Borgo della Marmotta anytime!

Wat een betoverend verblijf. Perfecte sfeer en aan alles is gedacht. Veel te doen in omgeving, maar dagje aan het zwembad is ok heerlijk. Fijn dat er een koelkastje is om z3lf spullen te koelen, maar drankjes zijn tegen schappelijke prijs ook gewoon verkrijgbaar op locatie. Echt heel mooie locatie.

Nous avons été très surpris de voir qu'Hôtel.com avait transmis une résa pour 1 personne seulement, alors que nous sommes toujours 2. De +, la résa n'était pas conforme à notre demande : nous voulions un appart avec kitchenette et vous aviez réservé une chambre classique. Je n'ai eu aucune réponse à ma 1ère réaction immédiate : en sera-t-il de même now?

Wunderschönes Landhotel
Das Haus ist wunderschön. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und angenehm. Die Zimmer sind etwas eng bemessen und auch etwas finster. Das ist nicht so gut, wenns mal regnet oder wenn man im Zimmer schreiben oder im Sessel sitzen möchte.

pour les couples et les enfants
beaucoup de gout dans l aménagement de ce hameau -hotel la présence du personnel est discrète mais efficace ....le tout est dans un cadre superbe avec une nature très présente ..la piscine très agréable par les chaleurs d' été se dissimule au bout d' un verger plante d' amandiers ...une atmosphère de charme....le village a l extérieur des murs présente beaucoup d' intérêt pour les amateurs de marches .....il y'a aussi un excellent restaurant ou l' on déjeune a l' ombre d' un murier centenaire .....
