Staff were friendly and helpful from checking in to food services. Room was a bit dated but it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with choices on a pre ordered menu which meant service was perfect. Views of mountains from some rooms and also from outside sitting area. Options to dine in the evening available with a good choice of food and highly recommend the steak pie. Lovely quiet location and perfect for visiting places
The whole experience was wonderful. Food was spot on. Beverages hit the spot. The room was wonderful. Our time spent here gave us the break from our day to day grind. We left more relaxed than we have ever been on holiday. Just wonderful!
Great value. Nice room with a great view. Great breakfast and over a freindly pub. Whats not to like. The staff were freindly and chatty. Would stay again
Absolutely stunning stay.
Breakfast was lovely and so was the dinner we had. Definitely recommend booking a table.
Bed was firm but comfortable and the shower was pretty good.
I look forward to staying again
The single room and the bed were very comfortable. The bathroom was a really good size. There was plenty of storage space, and tea and coffee facilities were great. I ate in the restaurant for two nights and both my meals were delicious. Nikki is very welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay.
We had an issue with our room which was quickly resolved. The restaurant offers a good choice of food and ours was very tasty. Again, a good choice for breakfast which was also really tasty.
On arrival warm welcome from Nikki, and given room key, room clean, and had everything we needed for our stay.
Had evening meal the three nights we stayed, and can honestly say all food from the steak pie to fish and chips, excellent choices thought out the menu, and all cooked to perfection by Alan, also breakfast each morning,
The hotel is run only by Nikki and Alan, and Nikki was none stop from breakfast to evening meal, always on the go, but was always cheerful, always had time to have a chat.
Would definitely recommend the Troutbeck Inn just few minutes of the main A66, and central for visiting around the lakes.
Dinner menu is good and servings great.
We were surprised at breakfast when they allocated each room to a table. It helps when starting the day
You have to choose the breakfast menu and time the night before but that's better for both the property and the guests as both will know what to expect
