The Knowes Hotel & Restaurant

10/10 Excellent

"The food is outstanding and keeps me coming back for business trips. Clean rooms and great staff."

Stunning 1 Bedroom Fishermans Cottage Located In The Beautiful Village Of Pennan

10/10 Excellent

"We loved The Wee House! Pennan is a tiny treasure at the end of the world, and this lovely home is right on the small beach. We could hear and see the waves crashing, and we walked along the rocky shore before grabbing dinner at the incredible Pennan Inn.Our host had a fire started when we arrived, and we enjoyed the warm blaze all evening. The kitchen has everything you need. The upstairs bed is comfy and there's a third-floor reading book that is amazing.Highly recommend!"

Stunning 6 bedroom 6 bathroom country home with large private indoor heated swimming pool

10/10 Excellent

"The place is amazing .the huge garden with kids play equipment. The pool is warm everyone loved it only problem is keeping the kids out . It’s also a great place to dry your washing The lodge is set up great with the 6 bedrooms split up with 3 on either wing of the lodge . There are free high chairs and travel cots there’s one toilet with 5 of the bedrooms having an onsuite . There is a large carpeted lounge with a pool and table tennis table and a huge open plan lounge with a kitchen lounge and 2 dinning tables there’s also a separate laundry room A nice touch is a hamper left with bread butter milk sweets coffee sugar tea and a few other things It is about 10 minutes from Banff the road you initially get told to take is in a really bad state but when there got advised to use the new road that is almost complete which is far better There are nice walks one which can go down to the river They do supply dishwasher tablets, fairy liquid all towels but take some washing powder as is a washing machine and tumble dryer which was great with having an under 1 baby with us The only slight negatives were One large window in the games room needs replaced as double glazing had gone The large freezer in kitchen didn’t appear to keep things always frozen but is another fridge and freezer in laundry room which we used so not a great issue There is not an air fryer which most folk use now but was 2 ovens so not an issue just have to get use to waiting a bit longer for your food to be ready The lights are difficult to work but there is a written guide to explain how to use them and after a day got used to them We didn’t use the 6th bedroom but it is down a steep stairs with no toilet To sum it up great place for family gathering or if away with friends as loads of room for people to be together or have a quiet moments apart The facilities will keep you amused all day and night We had 7 adults from 60 to 30 and 3 kids from 7 to under one and a dog and everyone loved it Also Alan’s communication was great and if you emailed him a question he would answer it right away"
