Villa l'Amboise

A most enjoyable break (4 couples - 8 people) in a well appointed Villa in a great location and parking for 4 cars. A large, well maintained garden within easy reach of St Valery and local amenities. Would recommend.

Weeks holiday enjoyed by the whole family from 3yrs to 65yrs. Accommodation was excellent, had everything you would require. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Size of garden was everything required for the whole family, ie BBQ, seating and eating areas, pétanque court, washing line and bicycles. Location excellent for beaches and historical excursions. Would happily return for another holiday.

Lovely family holiday

The property was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Valerie and Christian were very helpful and friendly and gave us lots of information on the local area. The market in St Valery on Sunday morning was a particular highlight with wonderful fresh local produce and the bakery in the next village is well worth a visit. The Baie de Somme is stunningly beautiful and the small towns are lovely, with lots to explore and do.

Our expectations were totaly met, as shown in the photo's and described on the web. Very helpful and nice owners; correct and involved, prepared to give all possible information. A house, well equiped with supplies, comfort and suitable for (a) family(ies). Lots of space, and this with enough privacy at the one hand, and enough common space(inside and outside) at the other hand. This all in a quiet environment. Starting point for all kind of excursions in a beautiful and various region. We highly recommend !

Well-equipped house in a tranquil setting

Very welcoming owners who live opposite toured the house with us and made us feel very much at home. House is fully modernised and ideal for our families totalling 5 adults and 4 children. Surrounding gated garden was ideal for our dog who almost 'nosed' the cow in the adjoining field. Location is convenient for St Valery or Cayeux wih several supermarkets at 5 minutes drive. We even had family petanque contests on the special 'pitch' Parking for 3 or 4 cars also very convenient in front drive.

3 Minutes from St. Valery Sur Somme, Voted # 2 Prettiest Town in France

Owners were fabulous to deal with! Checking in and out was so easy. House was super clean, spacious and only 3 minutes to St. Valery sur Somme. St. Valery sur Somme has just been voted the 2nd prettiest town in all of France, a definite must see. Make sure you walk the town of St. Valery sur Somme and explore. Also make sure to take the boat tour and sight see St. Valery from the water side too. From this house in Pende you are close to lots of area attractions, supermarkets, quaint little shops. House is situated on a quiet street in the small town of Pende. Would definitely rent this house again, highly recommended to all travelers.

Four old musketeers

For more than 50 years we four friends have been meeting every 2 years - this time in the beautiful holiday home l'Amboise. We really enjoyed the 7 days on the large property with a wonderful garden and a great Boulle alley. Everyone had a large room with an own bathroom. We spent the days relaxed with many good conversations, lots of good wine, home-made food and boulle. Some excursions in the area rounded off the stay. Among other things, Valerie organized us a day tour with brand-new e-bikes from a local rental company - thanks again for that, Valerie. We always prefer staying in a village to a city with the usual traffic noise. But it shouldn't bother you if the dog next door barks. The kitchen is well equipped with enough crockery for a larger group. The communication with Valerie before the trip and on site was exemplary and extremely friendly.

Wonderful location with welcoming hosts

Easy journey from the tunnel taking just over an hour! Hosts met us early and welcomed us into their beautiful cottage, and even gave us a fab cake of the region! Valerie and Christian both spoke great English and gave us lots of advice and helpful hints on the area and where to eat. The accommodation was perfect for my aged parents (one of which has sever mobility issues) daughter and our border collie. 2 bedrooms were on the ground floor and all bathrooms were newly finished with super showers and seperate toilets. The property featured lots of Christian's fantastic artwork which added a lovely family feel to the property, he's even done exhibitions! Amazing! The garden was a great feature - being totally and securely enclosed for our lovely border collie. There was also a large table and bbq for warm days. The property is really close to saint valery sur somme which has a beautiful port, great stream train and a plethora of yummy restaurants. Thoroughly recommend the property and the fabulous welcoming hosts..we had a fantastic time. Thankyou x

Malgré le temps pluvieux et la tempête, nous avons passé une semaine inoubliable. En plus un accueil chalereux de Mme Delestrée nous a fait du bien. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Séjour en famille

Très belle propriété possédant tout le confort nécessaire pour passer un séjour des plus agréables. Chambres et sanitaires individuels; espace de vie convenant parfaitement à une grande famille; un jardin avec terrasse permettant de profiter du soleil. Sa situation nous a permis de visiter le Parc de Marquenterre, Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, d'apercevoir les phoques à la pointe du Hourdel et de profiter de la plage de Cayeux-sur-Mer, sans oublier la visite de l'aquarium Nausicaa de Boulogne. Les propriétaires des lieux sont très accueillants et restent à notre écoute tout le long du séjour. Ce fut parfait!

La maison est idéale pour un grand nombre de personnes de tout âge qui offre la possibilité de passer des bons moments ensemble autour de la grande table. Très bien équipée, bonne literie. Un grand merci à notre hôte parfaite, Valérie qui nous a donné beaucoup de conseils sur des activités à faire, à ne pas oublier le gâteau de bienvenue. Nous avons passé une semaine superbe et ceci malgré une météo pluvieuse. Nous espérons pouvoir profiter un peu plus du jardin magnifique la prochaine fois.

Merveilleux séjour en baie de somme.

Très belle villa, fonctionnelle avec très bonne literie. Très bon accueil de ses propriétaires qui nous ont fourni de bons renseignements quant aux visites à effectuer aux alentours. Tout était parfait. C'est une villa que nous conseillons vivement de louer!

Séjour tout confort et sans soucis

Accueil chaleureux par les propriétaires qui habitent à 2 pas (documentation et cartes de la région fournies). Séjour au calme dans une villa tout confort comme annoncé: linge de maison fourni, propreté irréprochable, lits confortables, décoration faite avec grand soin, le wifi fonctionnait très bien, vélos mis à disposition et des commerces à proximité (3-4 km). Bref, pour le prix demandé, à recommander absolument!

Très agréable séjour à la Villa l'Amboise

Super accueil de Valérie et son mari, amoureux de leur région . A notre arrivée, ils avaient gentiment prévu une des spécialités de la région: le gâteau battu ( quel délice!) accompagné d' un petit café. Maison située au calme, très lumineuse, d'une propreté impeccable, spacieuse (nous étions 4 couples) , literie très confortable . Jardin fermé agréable, dans lequel notre petite Spitz Holly a pu batifoler et parking pouvant accueillir 4 voitures. Les propriétaires nous ont donné de très bon conseils tant sur la découverte de la Baie de Somme que sur les commerces ou restaurants sur St Valéry et les alentours . Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la visite du Parc du Marquenterre, les superbes balades à la pointe du Hourdel avec ces lumières si belles qui changent au fil des heures , le petit port de St Valery , entre autres ..... Nous reviendrons certainement dans le coin pour emprunter le petit train touristique qui malheureusement ne reprenait du service que le lendemain de notre départ !
