"The hotel was close to the Byward Market and several of Ottawa’s main attractions. The room was clean throughout. The breakfast area was well maintained and well stocked. The attending staff was friendly through the whole hotel. The gym was good, although the treadmills could have been wiped better. The washroom was very clean, but the water pressure was not very strong, which made rinsing off take a bit longer than I wanted. Some may complain about the nearby shelter, but that was not an issue for us at all. Check in and out were very efficient. Thank you for a great stay!"

"Perfectly located for NAC shows, parliament hill and downtown restaurants, the ARLO is a clean, comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was continental and had a good selection of fruit and pastries. Our room was very comfortable with a kitchen, coffee maker, etc. The room amenities were really nice and smelled great! There is no parking here but we parked at the City Hall parkade about a block away, it is very affordable on the weekends."

Parking was a bit expensive but has in and out.The only real downside was that the Jr suite come with a double bed not queen. This isn't clearly stated and was a disappointment. There is more than enough space to fit a queen bed, so why the smaller size?"

"The hotel is conveniently located not far from the canal and parliament areas. Lots of dining options close by. Front desk staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. Room was nice and the small kitchen was well equipped."

"Avoid this place! The staff are lovely but the hotel is old, not particularly clean, and just feels shabby and depressing. Awful bed. Weird smell and no proper in room air con. Terrible loud hum. Just go somewhere else. "
