"I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Rio de Janeiro Copacabana. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent. The doormen were always so helpful getting me in and out of the car, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was excellent, and the service there was consistently attentive and professional. I also have to give a special mention to the room service. It was spot on every single time — my orders were always accurate, delivered promptly, and the staff were so friendly, kind, and always arrived with a smile. That really stood out to me during my stay. The hotel and my room were very clean and beautifully maintained. I also had a gorgeous view of the beach, which made the stay feel even more special. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept very well as far as the comfort of the room itself. The only downside was the outside noise. There was quite a bit of street noise, as well as noise coming from the military facility across the street. I realize this really isn’t the hotel’s fault and is simply part of the location, but it is something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper. Overall, I had a very positive experience. The kindness and professionalism of the staff, the excellent service, the food, the cleanliness, the beautiful beach view, and the comfort of the room made my stay very enjoyable. I would absolutely stay at the Fairmont again."

"This hotel is probably a hidden gem. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The staff as well as cleaning crew were very competent and thorough. The restaurant was pretty good. We ate at the breakfast buffet every day and the food was good. Coming from the states, the buffet allows you to eat without being a glutton. We had dinner there one night and we thought the food was very well prepared and the drinks very good. The hotel is walking distance from a mall - like maybe a block and a half. It is across from a beachfront and you can see Sugarloaf Mountain from the hotel. There were local eateries and it wasn't too far from the metro. I would definitely recommend."
