"Great hotel. Pool and health suite were amazing! Staff helpful and friendly. Room was gorgeous. Breakfast really nice. Location was perfect… I was worried about road noise but it was very well soundproofed. If I had to be picky I would say shame second lift was out of order, but we had fun all squeezing into one lift and chatting to other guests.. even the out of order sign made us laugh! There are lovely products in the room, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and moisturiser. So you don’t need to bring your own. Would have been nice to be able to buy some to take home 😁"

"The property is historic and is decorated accordingly. Breakfast was lovely. Please note, there are NO king beds in this hotel-even though Expedia sold me a room for one. Also, the lift or elevator NOT working- apparently for several weeks now. Inquire as to whether it’s been repaired if you have trouble with steps as there may be many. Lighting fixtures in room need updating. Most staff very nice, especially Tim. Tub in Room 201 is fantastic but door needs to be replaced- extremely difficult to open and damaged on inside. Being on back side of hotel v street side is preferred as there is construction on Manvers. Excellent location near train. Very walkable to stores and historical sites. Cheers!"
