We were very comfortable and felt ‘at home’ here. The 4 flights of stairs aren’t really a problem if you’re mobile enough. The area is vibrant, well connected and has everything you need. Beautiful park at one end of road and the canal at the other. Loads of shops, cafes and bistros. Perfect. Claudia is a lovely host, very helpful and extremely flexible with entry and leaving times. The apartment is spacious and gets a lot of light from two sides (though curtains are thick enough to black out light at night). It is an enchanting artist's studio with a view of a classically Parisian building across the street, very easy access to shops and Metro, near two major train stations, a short walk to one of the most beautiful parks in Paris. I loved the brightly colored bedding. The kitchen is huge by Parisian standards; it and the bathroom were clean and well-equipped; the salon was a little dusty, which I mention only because it could be a problem for people with allergies. As a lark married to an owl, we like to stay in multi-room apartments so we don't wake/keep each other up, and this place worked out really well for us. The building is quiet and the apartment gets surprisingly little street noise, maybe because it's high up! The host was welcoming and helpful, and we enjoyed our stay very much. ##### Nicole C. I'm listing the cons first because it's a short list. Cons: Needs more linen for the bed. It has extra pillows but not extra pillowcases or sheets. Towels weren't the freshest, but we bought laundry soap and washed them first :) 4 floor walk-up located on the top of a hill. This is not a property for anyone with mobility issues! The street is loud at night! Bring earplugs and shut the windows on the bedroom side. Hot water runs out by evening, so if you like hot showers, take them in the morning. Pros: Claudia is an excellent and very responsive host! Clean, cozy and comfortable. Lots of plants! So make sure you water them :) Safe neighbourhood. Washer and drying rack make packing light very easy. Excellent location with groceries, bakery, fruit stand, pharmacy and several decent restaurants within easy walking distance. Short walk to 2 metro stations. Stunning and massive park right close by, as is the Canal and the famous canal booksellers. View from the bedroom/living room windows is beautiful. No extra cleaning before you leave! Overall a great little place that feels very Parisian. The 1st-3rd arrondissements and main attractions (Eiffel Tower, Marais, Montmare, Louvre etc.) are about 30-40 min to 1.5 hr walk away, which makes for a great day meandering the beautiful streets. My SO and I didn't use the metro once during our stay, preferring to walk everywhere to experience the city. Die Gegend ist eine nette Wohngegend mit vielen kleinen Geschäften für den täglichen Bedarf, Cafés, Restaurants, Supermärkten... Die Wohnung an sich hat alles, was man braucht. Zwei Schlafzimmer, Bad und Küche mit Sitzecke und allen Dingen, die benötigt werden. (Toaster, Mikrowelle, Waschmaschine, Bügeleisen, Fön.... uvm...) Kleines Manko: im Sommer ist es sehr heiß - man kann zwar für Durchzug sorgen, doch das hilft nicht immer... ein Ventilator o.ä. wäre bei extremer Hitze sicher sinnvoll... Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin klappt hervorragend, sie ist sehr nett und sehr bemüht, einen tollen Aufenthalt zu garantieren. Alles in allem: eine sehr nette Wohnung in einem guten Viertel mit guter Anbindung. Ideal für eine Reise nach Paris. ##### Wybke W. Elle nous a dépannés d'une nuit de + , nous a accueillis très tôt le matin... L'appartement est très lumineux, bien desservi par le métro et dans un quartier très agréable. In 4 persone due adulti e due ragazze. Vicino alla fermata della metropolitana e a parecchi servizi anche un supermercato molto fornito. L'appartamento è caratteristico parigino accogliente e pulito e Claudia molto gentile e disponibile. L'unica avvertenza è che avendo uno scaldabagno elettrico di vecchia tecnologia è difficile fare 4 docce serali perché non c'è abbastanza acqua calda, bisogna organizzarsi in turni. ##### Elena G. Appartement très bien placé: le quartier est très calme, tout en étant bien desservi en commerces et transport et à 2 pas des Buttes Chaumont. Cependant, n'y allez pas avec 1 grosse valise : il n'y a pas d'ascenseur... L'équipement est correct et la literie aussi. L'état général des locaux est vieillot, en particulier la cuisine et son évier; cela mériterait un bon rafraichissement. Merci à Claudia et à une prochaine fois. ##### Alain-Michel C.
