It was fully redesigned, with a separate intimate bedroom, and a lovely open-plan living room and kitchen. It features noble materials such as walnut wood-paneling and marble, carefully selected to reflect Parisian art-de-vivre and elegance. This place is ideal to explore Paris and enjoy a peaceful home throughout your stay. The space This 19th-century listed building stands on land once owned by the Théâtre Feydeau, sold in the early 1800s to the Comtesse de Clerembault and the Marquis de la Chataigneraye. Later, it became the property of Auguste Champetier de Ribes, a distinguished French aristocrat who served as a Minister under the III Republic and as President of the Council of the IV Republic. The Siemens combo oven/microwave and induction cooktop is very good. The kitchen is not that well equipped with tools and cookware. We asked for and received some additional items, but bought a proper chef’s knife and other utensils. There is no proper dining table. The mattresses in the bedrooms are very comfortable and the bedding very good. The VRBO website, when we booked the apartment, said that the apartment had air conditioning. \[Air conditioning is no longer listed on the website.\] However, it did not. The managing company was quick to provide a portable air conditioner. It was necessary to keep a window open to vent the A/C exhaust. It worked well for the time we were there in early May. The suitability of this apartment depends on your requirements and desires. It worked for us given our late planning. If we had planned further ahead, I believe there would have been better choices for us. The managing company, Merveil, is responsive. They are available 24/7 with an answering service during off hours. ##### Martin P R. Stayed 14 nights in Apr 2025 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Ileana S. 8 Jun 2025 Liked: Cleanliness Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy #### Unpleasant experience due to last minute change of accommodation and appalling customer service I booked this property for 3 nights as I was in Paris for a conference at a location 5 minutes away. 1 working day before my trip I was told I could no longer stay here and was given a choice to move to another location or receive a refund. Since it would have been impossible to find alternative accommodations that late I accepted the change. I explained however that I have mobility issues and use a wheelchair, therefore I kindly asked for a refund on the taxi costs I would incur as a consequence of being much further away from the conference venue. I spoke to VRBO and they advised me to call the host. The company employee who answered was unbelievably rude, and wouldn't let me speak with a manager. I'm still shocked at the way I was treated, their tone and dismissive attitude was entirely inappropriate. They said I should take the metro or bus. I arrived at the new location to find that there was no accessible metro station nearby, and taking the bus at rush hour was impossible. Most of the sidewalks in the area were also inaccessible by wheelchair. This new location in the Marais - which hasn't even been updated for my trip on VRBO's platform - looked quite different from the pictures I was sent. The furniture was much more used, certainly not "luxurious" as advertised and none of the radiators worked. The toilet was minuscule and one of the bedrooms was actually a closet without ventilation. For what was offered the cost was unreasonably high. Wouldn't recommend this host. ##### Ileana S.
