The location is really good but the hotel needs improvements, smells like sewer, the room doesn’t have safe, the decoration in our room was “sinister” and the staffs was uncooperative and even rude, don’t offer any amenities in the front desk and the price for a coffee is ridiculous, I used this hotel many years ago but I think that I don’t return.

Stained and superficially dirty carpets, food trays on the corridors for hours, slow checkin, the sounds of neighboring guests waking you up at 4:30am, … a gaping gap between cost and quality

Although the room was quiet, the carpet had not been cleaned. The bedsheets were not changed regularly. When I asked, nothing was done until I filed a formal complaint. In addition, 3 breakfasts were added to my bill by mistake; I never even approached the restaurant door. All of this was disappointing.

One of the worst hotels i have stayed in
I think one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. My expectation was that this would be to an a acceptable standard as it was a Mercure but it has put me off ever staying in one again. Completely run down and the carpets were disgusting - full of stains and generally filthy. Poor service - would not recommend

It was a great hotel, free good breakfast. And the cleaning staff would truly clean while gone during the day. The room was nice for how reasonably priced it is, very comfy bed, early check in times. My only dislike was how it was kind of far from the heart of Paris. Like a 30/40 metro ride and a 10/15 minute walk to the metro. Otherwise, it was great, I’d stay here again.

Breakfast was poor. We have asked can they top up croissants and the reply was that it finished. Natural orange juice was out of oranges and no one bothered to top up with oranges. Same as the rest of the food and drinks. That hotel is more 2,5-3 star that 4 very disappointed.

The hotel is located with metro and bus stations nearby, check in/out was very fast and the staff was very kind. Room was clean but nothing fancy. You also get free wifi.

Location is terrible far from everything €15 taxi to get to Centet and €15 taxi back. Please avoid this place if you can. We wanted To chance but was not allowed. Room was nice but had a smell of poop from the toilet :( Breakfast not included €19 per person and day extra :( When I checked out I was presented with full price for the hotel room. I told them it was already prepaid online and money was drawn from me by Orbit and I refused to pay twice and I had to secure and bring in upper management and all of them spoke poor English and we was all frustrated with each other. Overall a terrible experience

Only had one night but it seemed fine, the hotel communal areas were nice clean and fairly modern, however the room was fairly tired looking.

Spacious Rooms for a French hotel, perfect location as I was working in this area of the city - Excellent breakfast. The decor in the rooms is basic, but the room size compensates for this. There was a slightly unpleasant odor when entering the room (from toilet waste I think) but it was not bad enough to request a room change. A pleasant stay all in all.

Vacation stay away from tourist
Stayed here because it was near Cite University. Quarter to half mile walk to Metro line 1 or RER B ( From airport) so easy access to the tourist areas. The area is very buisness oriented and the hotel seemed more for businessmen than tourist. Nice decor, room was very clean and comfortable. Room was cleaned daily. I would feel good about recommending them to a friend as long as they were willing to hike a ways to metro. Neighborhood seemed very safe.

Very friendly and helpful staff
I stayed at the hotel along with 2 colleagues for a business trip and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was great and the wifi meant we could work easily before and after our meeting.

Great hotel with access to Peripherique
Clean, recently refurbished hotel with quick access to the Peripherique. Stay here for 3 nights, friendly staff, great breakfast and on-site secure parking. About a mile walk to Metro if you want to get around the city.

Subway access is ok to get around.
Good for budget travel. Convenient yet not too noisy area. Safe to walk around at night.

Unfortunately not a great experience
The room itself was very nice, but the added services available are extremely poor, I arrived at the hotel at 8.30pm, having checked in from a long trip I was hoping to get some food and was told the restaurant was closed and I would have to go to the neighbouring hotel - IBIS - if i wanted a meal - crazy at 8.30pm. I then went to my room and checked the in room services, I could see room-service was apparantly available all day until 11pm, calling to arrange this I was told the restaurant was closed. Even the bar was closed! I had to get some chocolate and drink from the small food shelf near the reception. I also noticed vegetarian selection was very minimal, in fact nothing. Because the location is quite remote there isn't even anything close by to go. So ended with a starved night. I then asked where I could get hold of an ironing board, I was told I would have to go to the reception and get the iron and BOARD myself and carry back my room because there was no staff available. Breakfast next morning was a little saviour. Overall - room-great, breakfast- good, staff - friendly but added services-extremely poor.

Good breakfast and French food! Safe location though not near the centre of Paris, but it is convenient to travel to main sightsee by metro. The staff seems not very friendly to non- French speakers(we're English speakers). One day we came back and the hotel main door is closed. A guy told us to keep pressing the door bell, one lady came out the office and was very unhappy to us.

Great hotel but Bad location
The room is exactly what you might expect from a 4-star hotel. Friendly English-speaking staff. Decent hotel restaurant and bar. It's a quiet neighbourhood. Not many shops or restaurants but there are tons of them near the Porte d'Orleans metro station. The walk to the station takes 10 minutes and can be intimidating at night. The area really is at the edge of the city of Paris. Can take up to half an hour on metro to reach tourist hotspots.

I highly recommend this hotel. I've stayed in at least 10 Parisian hotels and this makes the top 3. There is no outside noise, at the rear of the hotel anyway, although you can hear your neighbour on the same floor, which is actually an improvement for Paris in which it is normal to here below and above neighbours. The room is big, with enough space to exercise and the furniture is top quality. In fact the hotel building from 1911 is top quality and the reception is indicative of the quality of the furniture in the rooms. The beds are foam and very supportive. The area directly in front of the hotel is busy and a Metro 4 station is directly opposite so it is easy to get to about Paris. I would happily stay again.

This Hotel is alright, but it is definitely not deserving of 4 stars. It is more like a good 3 star hotel. The station is about 800m away, which is not fun during cold winter.

Last stop on our honeymoon
This was about 30 minutes on the train from the center of Paris. Train station is very close, about 5-10 minute walk. We only stayed a weekend which was enough time for us to explore the downtown area and have some good meals. The hotel had a buffet breakfast which was pretty tasty. Overall, the hotel was very lonely during the time that we visited (early Sep) as was the area surrounding the hotel. The neighborhood was safe just quiet and lots of business spaces. Random note, if you are going to be ordering a cab, do not order it from the hotel. They have their own personal driver that overcharges A LOT. much better to call a cab yourself.

Good Business Hotel near to Montrouge
A standard Mercure hotel. I had a 2x single bed room which, though non-smoking, still smelled of smoke. The plaster was beginning to come off the wall near the bathroom because of damp. The bathroom shower screen didn't stop the floor from flooding. Air conditioning and WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was OK - a big selection of items. If you're looking to stay near Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (and the RER B station) it's surprisingly close (10-15 minutes walk) if you walk along the road parallel the peripherique and cross the footbridge next to the Samsung building or take the road the runs under the peripherique. Next time I visit the University I'll probably stay here again.

Great hotel for the price - A bit of a walk though
Keep in mind it's a 15minute speed walk to the closest metro station (30 stroll) and the hotel is a bit hard to find. You will see the "Mercure" light up sign on a building with other hotel signs but the hotel itself is a couple blocks (2-3) left from the sign. Don't bother taking the elevator down (up is okay), you will be retired by the time it comes - Seriously, I waited 15 minutes because the stairs looked like they would trigger the fire alarm. I was wrong, stairs were fine, take the stairs down!

This hotel was quiet very clean and spacious with plenty of lovely hot water. The kettle with tea & coffee in our room is certainly a draw card for us. A bit out of the way of the city centre but easily accessible by public transport.

I have traveled a lot. The idea that this hotel is a 4* is ridiculous. First off, 2 adults and 1 child meant that there was a cod bed brought in. And as much as I understand how the European hotels work, it was hot. Even when i opened the windows. The plus is that it is close to the subway and also close to the ERE. Ohh and the croissants are not bad at all. No minibar, No food service.
