Central Two Blocks from Elysées Palace. As with any metropole, Paris is a city composed of neighborhoods, called 'quartiers'. They each have their charm and personality. Matignon Terrace is located in the prestigious 8th Arrondissement, the heart of the capital. Our neighborhood is famous for its elegance, luxury and security. It includes within its borders the Elysées Palace, home of the country’s president (a two block walk from the apartment.) It is a short ten minute walk to Avenue Montaigne, or the Champs Elysées, which many consider as being the most beautiful avenue in the world. What a pleasure to walk out of the door and have the elegance of Paris at one’s feet! The apartment is located on the Faubourg Saint Honoré, the home of the great fashion brands - the flagship stores of Hermès, Channel, Cartier, Saint Laurent, Gucci, Prada, Lanvin, Valentino, the Place Vendôme with its prestigious purveyors of jewelry. Matignon Terrace, is just across the street from the luxurious, six star 'palace', the Bristol Hotel. It is a large, comfortable space, equipped with essential conveniences, at a fraction of the Bristol's stiff prices. Of course, nothing prevents a visitor from crossing the street to have a drink at their bar, or a meal at one of their celebrated, Michelin-rated restaurants. The interior of Faubourg Terrace Modern was designed by Christian Biecher, one of France’s leading architects - and the talent he lavished on every detail is evident everywhere. The apartment was featured in World of Interiors, Marie Claire, Architectural Digest, and a host of other specialized publications. On the first floor above street level (in an elevator-equipped building), one is greeted by a salon with large windows opening onto a terrace. The exterior walls of the apartment are made of translucent glass. The concealed track-lighting is controlled by dimmers. A small efficiency kitchen contains a microwave oven, an induction stove top, a dishwasher. A Miele washer and dryer are provided for the guest’s laundry needs. The bathroom has a large shower booth, à l’italienne. The master bedroom offers a large, flat screen, high definition television with a fiber optic connection (which also means high-speed wifi connections) as well as a seating area, a modern, centralized stereo system, with built in ceiling speakers, brings sound to each room. A smaller bedroom offers modular twin beds, that can be joined together if needed. The apartment is furnished with several, comfortable, leather armchairs and a leather couch. Matignon Terrace is situated in the heart of one of the most elegant neighborhoods of the Gallic capital. It provides everything necessary for a comfortable and rewarding stay. We stayed 4 days in Paris during New Year's Eve. We had a great time. The apartment is in a great location. We were able to walk down to the Champs Elysees and watch the festivities with an easy walk back. The apartment is spacious and clean with plenty of space for 4 people. The seperate bedrooms was nice coming from a shared hotel room in London. John-Paul made the check-in process and use of the apartment easy with pre-made videos and a website with useful information about the apartment and the surrounding area. David is a phenomenal host, sharing super helpful ‘how to’ videos ahead of time that made for a seamless check in. Plus he was incredibly responsive during our stay. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations. The location is superb. The rooms were a good size and the private outdoor space was priceless. The private terrace was very nice and quaint, great for breakfast or an evening conversation. The owner is very easy to communicate with and has made the checkin process the best I’ve encountered. We loved this apartment. The location was perfect - easy to get to Metro and we felt very, very safe. The apartment was spacious and the washer/dryer was a definite perk. The videos the owner sent us to help us check in and to show us the features of the apartment were very helpful. My wife and myself, and our daughter and son-in-law, were very comfortable. The windows on the street block out street noise. The windows to the terrace let in fresh air. The dish washer and washer/dryer were very convenient. We enjoyed the common sitting area. The neighborhood is secure, elegant, and beautiful We really enjoyed our one week stay. ##### Jay W V. JP was a fantastic host who responded back to any questions I had instantly. As a first time traveler to Paris, we couldn’t have selected a better location! Our family of 3 walked to Army Museum, Tuileries Gardens, the Paris Opera House, the Louvre, Île-de-la-Cite where we found the Notre Dame Cathedral, Saint Chappelle and other gems, with Avenue des Champs-Elysées so very very close by, and of course the Arc de Triomphe. Paris is amazing! Experience it in its fullest by selecting an appropriate location and an attentive host. We will be back!! Thanks JP!! ##### Byron S.
