Ecrin à Bijoux - Central and Charming apartment with A/C in historical property

  • In a building full of history in the heart of Paris, you will stay in a former workshop of jewelry transformed, like a jewelry case, into a cozy, comfortable and charming apartment.

    On the 2nd floor of the last residence where the famous French revolutionary Robespierre lived at the end of the 18th century, this completely renovated apartment kept the charm of this period with its exposed beams with all the modern and highest comfort of today (Internet, Wifi, A/C, washer-dryer, USB plugs, station iPOD / iPhone, TV with international channels, DVD, connected speakers, rain shower ..).


    The apartment, completely renovated, can accommodate up to 4 people + 1 baby.

    The entrance hall, with a cloakroom and separate toilets, overlooks a large living room with a sofa bed with comfortable sleeping for 2 persons, a large TV screen with all international channels, DVD / CD player, video games, and iPod/iphon/ipad docking station, connected speakers.
    The kitchen has a large table for 6 people.
    The bedroom is equipped with a large hotel quality bed (160cm) for two people, with a dressing room and an office desk with wireless Internet, Wifi connection, and accessible USB sockets to easily recharge a computer, tablet, camera...
    The luxurious bathroom is equipped with a rain shower in the ceiling and a hand shower.
    In the fully equipped kitchen (induction hob, automatic hood, Nespresso coffee machine (Original pods), kettle ...), tea and coffee will be available upon arrival.
    You will also have a washer-dryer and comfortable heating and air conditioning.

    In addition to the many restaurants in the area, you will find everything to do your shopping: supermarket 200m open until midnight, and in the lively rue de Marché Saint-Honoré (500m): butchers, fishmongers, caterers ... and Farmers market on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This was a wonderful property centrally located to all the attractions and plenty of great local restaurants, bistro, cafes all within 10 min or less. Lots of shopping close as well. The property was well furnished and the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Our host was great to communicate with and she took great care of us. We loved the coach/chaise and are looking for one in the USA. Even the pullout bed was comfortable. It had a great historic charm to it and we would love to stay there again.

Great location in safe luxury shopping area and highly walkable for museums and attractions and near metro. Renovation is recent and modern and amenities are designed for travelers, such as washer/dryer, dishwasher, safe for valuables, enough plates and silverware to avoid running the dishwasher after every meal. The extra half bath was an unexpected bonus. Unit is professionally managed, communication good and we would be comfortable renting other units from the host on future occasions. We chose this unit based on very specific criteria fed to Expedia Search seriously limiting the matching options 1. Air conditioning. 2. Location 3. Safe. 4. Kitchen. 5. Washer/Dryer. 6. Free Wifi Not many matches, but given the European heatwave and experience from previous visits to that specific area we were ok paying extra to get what we wanted Given our main priority was A/C, the following prevented a top rating for us. In different weather, the rating might have been higher The unit does not have traditional air conditioning. It has a medium sized very loud portable AC unit right by the bed in the small bedroom just outside the picture in the property listing. During the heatwave the A/C unit was maxed out just trying to keep the bedroom cool. It did not cool noticeably outside the bedroom. No easy fix to our experience and had we known in advance, we would probably just have kept looking. Others may find this to be a non issue.

Very comfortable, well located apartment!

We really enjoyed our week here. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, well equipped and very peaceful, From this location it was very easy to sightsee in Paris by bus, metro or on foot. Organising our visit with Lucile was straightforward. Definitely to be recommended.

We had a lovely time at this apartment. It is in the perfect location in the 1st arrondissement and had everything we needed. For two people we had lots of space and were very comfortable. We had stayed here multiple times before and will definitely be returning.

Excellent little place to stay!

Everything about this place was fantastic. The location is so close to metro stations, attractions and good food. Absolutely would stay here again. Management communicated often and effectively with us. Even made sure there was someone there to help us get in and familiarize us with the facility. We really enjoyed staying here and would book it again.

Perfect location, modern cozy, up to date wonderful place to stay!

This is the best location to stay! We walked everywhere, and cafes are close and bakery right downstairs. We were there with your teenage kids and the apartment was comfortable cozy and clean and looked newly renovated. The 2 bathrooms is a huge bonus! Highly recommend! Hope we go back soon!

Perfect neighborhood location & so cozy.

We loved every minute of our stay. The location is absolutely ideal. Minutes from a train, surrounded by high-end retailers so SUPER safe & clean. The apartment was perfectly appointed, and having the extra half-bath was great for a family. We don't have one bad thing to say about our stay. Lucille gave us lots of useful tips for staying & travel ... it was just everything you want a Paris stay to be!

Beautiful Paris location near Louvre & Seine River

The apartment is exactly as advertised! Good bed, hot water, good plumbing :), excellent bakery & deli next door! Everyone was very helpful. Would recommend and try ourselves to return.
